Thanks to BONC and mountain biker/public outcry, Hoot was NOT bulldozed on November 15. But since the NFS couldn't bother replying to the thousands of emails they received, we have no idea if plans are still afoot to decimate this wonderful trail. Please support BONC's efforts to keep Hoot as it is as well as their Herculean efforts to build so much goodness in Nevada City!

When was this? Wondering about the conditions of the trails after the last few days... whether they're ridable or need a few days to dry out.

Still really dusty. I should have hit it about a week ago when there was hero dirt. We're supposed to get a storm rolling in Sunday afternoon, so, by Tuesday, conditions should be perfect again.

I'd be pulling hike-a-bike at the 9:00 minute mark and a couple of the other spots between 7:30-9:00-ish. Otherwise, looks doable and then take the canal trail on down into Nevada City... end up at Three Forks Brewery.

Are you going to be up in Nevada City this weekend (Memorial Day weekend)? If so, we will be & would love to ride. I am a newbie, though.

Haven't ridden this yet, but I have hiked down to downtown Nevada City from Harmony Ridge Resort (members only campground). Wasn't an easy hike, so can't imagine it's an easy ride, either. There were a couple of spots where the footing was... treacherous.

Love the video! SC has the most amazing forest. Love that you guys have eMTBs, I think they are the furture. You can just go up further with them. Do more videos like this but with a little exter explination about why its a tourist trap. Just 20 seconds worth of talking would be awesome.
