This series is unbelievable!!! Thank you Fr Behr, a million times. If you've just arrived at these series, go through all the videos and be amazed...every minute is remarkable.

My question is this: what does martyrdom look like in the 21st century? Must we literally be killed by firing squad for refusing to deny our faith? Since most countries in the world are civilized and could care less what you profess to believe, it is near impossible to ever be treated that barbarically in the 21st century even if someone asked for it. Or am I missing the point of what a Martyr literally is?

Today on New Year’s Day 2021 I viewed the last of this series. This teaching is soo precious to have come to my attention. Born into hyper Calvinist culture, I bumped my head on the ceiling of it a long time ago and have been searching for, well, long long long, as George Harrison has it. (! 😆) I can hardly express my gratitude for your putting this on here. Over a mere few days you have completely demolished the ceiling. Thank you Father Behr x

I grew up in the Protestant tradition (Asian context). I've benefited a great deal from your teaching. How may I understand what Revelation chapter 20 verses 14-15 (New International Version) refer to in light of what were talked about "All will encounter Christ" and "Judgement"?

Hi fr. John Behr, Is this how Athanasius is typically taught at st Vladimirs? And if so, did that procced your courses? In particular, do you know if fr. Alexander Schmemann read Athanasius in this manner?
