I have been in several music scenes over my 38 years on this earth and met great people everywhere but nothing compares to the love, passion and care for each other that the metal scene shows again and again. I don't think we can ever fully appreciate how many lives this music and the family of freaks that live and breathe it have saved by given people a home where they can truly be themselves. ❤ to each and every one of you.

That reminds me of a moment from many, many years ago... the day I heard my first Disturbed song. It was as if a door inside me opened. Through that door, energy flowed-a tingling sensation, an electricity that traveled through my body and deep into my soul. I was overcome with a kind of 'sympathy' feeling. The sounds, the voice, the lyrics... I wanted more, and more came! This man, this band has shaped a huge part of my life, accompanied me, and even now, they’re still with me. After watching this video, I finally understand why-and it explains that feeling of 'sympathy' I had all those years ago... :') "They see the light in the darkness, fists clenched. Thousands upon thousands of arms reaching toward the sky... ready to do what is right, to fight those who do not. To protect those who need our protection. Because we are one." ✊🏼😏
