    How would you compare the Thor 2 to Summit 2?

    • @redshunting9661
      @redshunting9661 Месяц назад

      On paper the Thor is a stiffer boot but to me that Summit wears closer to a 4 on flex rating. Making the Summit and Thor a close competition, Thor being a lighter option not nearly as burly.

    My career revolves around hiking a lot and running over steep hills, creeks, plains rocky terrain, sandy terrain etc. I need good ankle support and something that I can wear for 10 hours a day without getting fatigued. Which Crispi boot would you recommend? I was looking at the Nevada’s

    • @redshunting9661

      @@pauloramirez8216 I think you are headed in the right direction with Nevada’s. They are Crispi’s Legendary boot, built as a do it all boot. With your career it sounds like your boots see a lot of different terrain and use. I think the Nevada will be the best bet for comfort and longevity.

    What’s the best crispi boot for wide feet with a thick arch

    • @redshunting9661
      @redshunting9661 2 месяца назад

      My 2 cents would be anything that comes in the EE would be a wise start - the Nevada Non Insulated GTX comes in a wide and is a somewhat heavier duty boot with 2.6 mm leather - fine for cold weather and lasts a long time. If you are looking for something lighter, the Lapponia III in the EE size is light and quick - combine that with a Superfeet Green insole and that would be a good choice. You can order a couple of pairs from Red's, and essentially get a "Free" return of the one you aren't as fond of. The fee for free returns is .98 and it goes in automatically at checkout unless you remove it from the shopping cart. We have all of these in stock (including the Superfeet) in most every size, go check it out. redsflyfishing.com/collections/crispi-boots

    I've never heard of Crispi boots. They look like quality boots from Italy, yet there are so many others. Why do hunters like the Crispi? Is there anything unique or differentiated from other boots at the same price?

    • @redshunting9661

      They’re quality boots. I own pairs of the Nevada gtx, Summits, and Thor II. They all have their respective advantages/disadvantages, stiffness rating, etc. I’ve never needed their customer service, but from what I’ve read from others it seems good. What is the difference between lapponia 3 and briksdal mtn? I know the briksdal mtn has the abss and it’s a flex 3 but a lot of people say the lapponia 3 is more like a 2.5 flex rating with the new outsole. Do they feel different? Does the briksdal mtn feel more supportive or are they pretty even

    • @redshunting9661
      @redshunting9661 7 месяцев назад

      Good question. The main difference is going to be the ABSS which is reflected in the price difference. The Lapponia III is a flex 2 and the Briksdal is a flex 3. Its a noticeable difference but not huge. The Lapponia fits into a more early season boot but would fall short in the winter. Briksdal is going to cover a wider range of seasons.

    I bought a pair of Altitude last year and only wore them in a few hunts. All the stitching on the back of both boots has completely come apart. I have 4 other Crispi boots and they’re all holding up great. Not sure why the Altitudes are coming apart.

    • @redshunting9661
      @redshunting9661 4 месяца назад

      We've seen a small amount of stitching come loose after a season, but not like you are describing. Did you warranty these with Crispi? Also, other than that did you find the fit and comfort to be comparable, better, or worse than other models? Always like to hear feedback from other users.

    • @porterjones8718
      @porterjones8718 3 месяца назад

      I had the same problem with mine too. It's like the stitching on the back part if the rand is where the boots naturally want to flex as the ankle bends. The threads just eventually just frayed and broke.

    • @redshunting9661
      @redshunting9661 10 месяцев назад

      Great question. I like the Nevada boot by Crispi if you are looking for a wider toe box. The Lapponia and Altitude both had a more European style toenbox, resulting in a slimmer toe box.

      Sounds like you have a potential to get cold feet. Are you still hunting or tree stand hunting? These boots aren’t very warm. I find them to be good as long as I am mobile but not the best sitting and glassing boot. I wouldn’t use them in the late season here in the PNW.

      Used the Summit all last season, from running my dog almost 3 days week before the season opened and then all through AZ quail season. It held up phenomenal. Oak brush and cat claw were no problem. My dog drinks from water bottles so the two bottles that come with the vest are perfect for that. I did order a couple extra pouches. They attached easily and had plenty of room for them. I would highly the Sunmit from Final Rise. I just ordered the Garmin pouch for the shoulder strap and will be getting one of their shotgun scabbards soon. Excellent quality stuff and American made.
