Simply fun things to do, see, and explore in sunny Southern California. Two retired brothers, Randy and Sam go on adventures together exploring southern California's sights, events, culture, food, entertainment, and anything interesting to us that might be of interest to other like-minded folks.
A goal in our journeys is to speak to an audience, particularly seniors and anyone, on a tight fixed income, who have settled into believing that you just can't go out and experience life like others. We are daring to go outside our own comfort zones to learn and achieve how to experience every travel adventure and entertainment experience that our horizons expand on. We hope in sharing our experiences that you too can be encouraged to dream and live all the possibilities you might now be aware of in thoroughly enjoying travel in your senior years. and hopefully, without Boundaries!

Nice video, did you know after exiting the Fish Market, if you cross the Main Street, the next street up is Calle Primera (first street) and on Primera is where all the tourist shopping, bars, pharmacies, restaurants, etc.. You can take Primera street all the way back to the cruise ship. Basically you are making a big circle on the way to the ship.

Diane here: TRULY jacuzzi is not family pool no bathtub--is only for adult therapeutic purposes/needs + no way is 75 deg hot for hot tub--did u complain???
Hi Diane, thanks for your comment. It was luke warm in the afternoon. We came back in the evening and it was about the same. We have a hot tub at home and can feel 95-100 degrees. The tub on the ship was more in the 80 - 85 range. This is the one on the back of the ship that I erroneously called the Adult area. We didn't complain, we just didn't try it again. Hopefully it got better for others. Love to hear from you again. Have you taken the Firenze cruise?

The pool is not the adult pool 😂. There’s an adult section at the front of the ship called Serenity but it only has jacuzzis and no pool

I couldn’t watch past the point of your continued complaining and not taking accountability for your own mistakes at check in. Your boarding pass clearly states a half hour arrival time. That means show up at the terminal in that window of time. It doesn’t say that you are getting on the ship in that arrival window, especially if you didn’t do what you needed to do at home check in. You put yourself in that long line. Same thing for the plastic water bottles. There is a list of what you can and can’t bring that you are supposed to read before you sail. Your mistake shouldn’t make you whiny and annoyed it just makes this video annoying.
Sorry, we didn't mean to annoy anyone, we thought our mistakes could be helpful to other seniors.
We were early on the arrival time because of L.A. traffic concerns. We only wound up in the Customer Service line because when we purchased the tickets we selected the California ID under security info and showed up with that and a passport. They lady in line said it should be changed to passport as the ID was not acceptable, even though it was listed. So we had to wait.
Did you hear them own it and say they needed to pay more attention to details like no plastic bottles and be careful when filling out forms? I heard grown ups being disappointed about extra time wasted but also taking ownership and helping other people avoid the same mistake.
Thanks for sharing your experiences on the Firenze, modeled after the glorious city of Florence! Looking forward to sailing on her. The MDR looks lovely (sounds a little loud), and I'm thinking that the additional weight of marble would be quite cost-prohibitive in this era of fuel-saving measures. Ship sure looks beautiful!

Does an enhanced id work in place of passport?
No sorry! By definition, an Enhanced ID, also known as an Enhanced Driver’s License (EDL), is a type of identification card issued by some states in the United States. It is a combined driver’s license and passport card that can be used for international land and sea travel to select countries within the Western Hemisphere. But... Carnival security does not accept that. They say "anyone can get a drivers license, and the ID is good to get into Mexico, but not to re-enter the U.S."
