The 1999 relaunch saw the actual number of minutes of news remain unchanged - the old 5.40pm bulletin which was a 20 minute digest was moved to 11pm and tailored as the Nightly News. The News at Ten half hour analysis was moved to 6.30pm and called the Evening News. So viewers didn't lose out in news content, just different time slots.

Studio TC1 was closed down in 1988 for massive refurbishment, which meant for Children in Need 1989 and 1990 they had to use TC3 usually at Television Centre. That studio today is now the permanent home for ITV's Good Morning Britain and This Morning.

Wow what a trip down memory lane. I used to watch this show weekly, it used to come on in the early hours of the morning and I used to set my VCR to record it on VHS. The good old days.

Sometime between early September and October 1991. For some reason this was stopped being used as an ident in October but carried on for promotions till mid December 1991.
