I have been using Samsung Galaxy Phones since February 2011I bought a Galaxy S10 in April 2019. My son pulled the earbuds that came with the S10 apart, so I wanted to replace them. The main difference I saw with the fakes that I bought on Amazon (Amazing Gadgets SFL) in January 2020: the left earbud doesn't have the bump under the "L" to indicate Left for visually impaired users. The parts that are supposed to be rubbery have a slick feel to it. The AKG printed on the earbuds is like a scratch off lottery ticket. The rope around the bottom portion has a wide seam, whereas the originals have a seamless roped section. The fakes have little tags all over the slickish rubbery areas where the cheap molds leaked during the manufacturing process. The originals are smooth without any tags. I opened the product initially 100% convinced. But when I plugged them in a few days later it was obvious I had been suckered. The sound is like a 1960's television turned all the way up! Now the company says to send them back for a refund. I'd rather notify Samsung and the Federal Trade Commission than to spend more of my time, effort, and money dealing with these jerks. Or- crush them with a sledge hammer!

I gotta say, nice video. One thing though, I have the white Akg that came with the s10 in a package with unbroken seal and it looks in every way “authentic” but it said “China” on the split section of the cord. Can you shed some light on what that’s about please? Thanks.

You forgot number 8. The piece of plastic where the cable is splitting. There is writing on it. It says China(fake) or Vientam(real). Can you confirm this please?

Hi my akg is made in china although it matches with your informationabout the legit one... does that concider it a legit one or a fake one?

I think the problem is easy to fix water proofing the device just needs gasket or sealing glue

I got one that arrived 2 days ago which i bought online on Shopee. Unfortunately i think my model is used because it has fingerprints everywhere. Seller placed it as brand new. Doesn't really matter, its sound quality is great and the features is really really good. I'm surprised this is a really good earphone. Luckily i didn't tried to go swimming with it and watched this video first or else i will be severely disappointed.

I think mine is made in china , i ordered it on amazon japan. And in description it says ipx7 waterproof , and whe i opened the user manual its says. . "Please don't let it close to liquid and wet it, otherwise it will cause the earbuds damage badly, which these are not in guarantee"
