Wow that’s so interesting. I have never heard of luxury brands charging for gift wrapping before in North America. You would think given the high prices that they charge, it should be inclusive. But hopefully you guys get to have much better samples and gift with purchase 😊

I agree. The size of the spray is much more compact and I think you will enjoy it very much. I also like the black packaging which I think is very classic. I wanted to get the L’EAU because I don’t have the scent in my collection but I don’t like the packaging as much 😂 so I went with the no 5 instead. It’s interesting that the n5 7ml refill is not available. My SA told me that I can purchase the refill when I am done with the product but maybe she got confused with coco Mademoiselle. I will double check with her on that 😃

This limited edition purse spray is designed in the same way as the 20ml permanent collection where there is a removable bottle inside that could be replaced when empty, which is different than the Dior travel sprays that need to get refilled by pumping from the full sized bottles. According to my SA, they carry 7ml refills in different scents (N5, Coco Mademoiselle) as part of they permanent collection, so we don’t have to worry about not being able to replace the refills 😃 I am going to review the Dior holiday couture collection soon and I am happy to demonstrate it in that video. Thank you for the feedback and I think that’s a fantastic idea. I am happy to do a video comparing the two pouches. I like them both to be honest. The Dior one is more glam because of the royal ball theme and has more affordable options. The Chanel pouch is more rare and more difficult to get as they tend to sell out fast. I also think the Chanel pouch improved the quality of the pouch this year while the material of the Dior pouch is not as good as last year’s. Let me give some thoughts to the two and come back with a more detailed comparison 😊

That’s a great question. I personally think this year’s pouch is my favorite out of all the tweed pouches that I have because I really like the thick material. However it’s more high maintenance given the color and I also don’t like how it says “Chanel beauty”

The sets are now sold out in Canada, but it took a few days while last year’s sets were sold out instantly. The “beauty” added on the pouch is definitely a downgrade, which makes it less desirable as a crossbody bag. The material of the pouch is nicer this year though in my opinion but I totally get why you don’t want to pick it up this year.

My sisters gifted me a *hotdups* Chanel bag to use for evening parties or important events. For a long time, these bags were my only bags.

Congrats on getting free shipping and scoring the eye set. They are sold out now online. I also wonder about why Americans are treated differently, maybe bigger markets? I have the same experience with Dior where I used to get a lot of freebies and promo codes in the US and it’s really hard to get them here in Canada. I hope that you will receive a charm with your order. If not, you may be able to get one from the department stores like the Bay. I got one from them last year with a perfume purchase, but it really varies based on location. Some stores receive the charms and other don’t. So you may want to stop by your local store and ask them about it.

Hi Donna, thank you so much for watching the video and I appreciate you reaching out😊 I think this highlighter is similar to last year’s previous coral. The actual product is not very glittery, although there is a gold spray on top which is very metallic as mentioned in the video. The pink shift is very subtle in my opinion, so it’s more like a highlighter than a highlighting blush if that makes sense. The quad is definitely baked this year as well and I agree the formula is very smooth with a satin finish. I didn’t pick up the quad last year, so unfortunately I can’t compare the two, but I looked up some pictures online and it looks like last year’s quad may be a bit deeper in color, so it can probably create more depth in the looks. I wish that there is a bit of variety in the finishes this year, such as adding a deep matte purple which will help deepen the look and create more dimensions. But I do think it’s a very festive and pretty palette if you like this formula. In terms of the lipsticks, I am not surprised that they are already sold out at Harrods (I love shopping there 🥰 and so jealous that you live in London). I think Chanel is trying to experiment with more vibrant shades in their limited edition launches. I picked up 3:00 and 5:00 from the summer collection (NUIT BLANCHE) and I think they work pretty with the quad in this collection, which is why I didn’t pick up any of lip colors this time around. But you are right these are very pretty and unique shades.

I will also get back to you on which colors are selling fast. My SA is off on Monday, so I will speak to her on Tuesday. The collection only launched a few days ago in Canada on the 16th and so far everything is still in stock online.

@@MyLuxuryCloset Hi thanks for the reply. I popped down to one of the department stores that has just stocked it (I actually live in Melbourne Australia) so I got to have a good play with it. Your right the highlighter is a lot more toned down once past the overspray with a pink/peach reflect kind of reminiscent of the PML baked highlighter front the Trio. Not sure about it. Mostly because of the size of it. The palette was quite impressive. Loved the formula, in fact I think this palette is about blending the shades.If you mix the orange and purple you get a bronzy brown, mix pink & orange for coral/bronze etc. All the colours when mixed well look great on both cheeks and eyes. Unmixed better on eyes I think. The only colour I don’t love is the pressed glitter. The Milky Way liquid eye shade seems to have the same glitter particle from the palette in it. The two liquid lipsticks are fabulous and I can see myself buying the two of them. I like the whole collection in general. I just wish there were more deep dives into it on youTube. Thanks again.x

Yes agreed. The Dior sets are certainly better value. Chanel is charging $$ for the pouch included given their popularity in previous years.

I agree that online is the most efficient way to get freebies when it comes to Dior. However, if you build good relationships (which means you show up every time when there is a new launch) with SAs at department stores, they do offer gifts from time to time. I received pouches and deluxe perfumes in the past. I also had a free facial from the prestige line once at the Bay. I am happy to do a video to talk about the details and gifts that I received in the past.

Thank you for reaching out. I actually just went there this week and they told me the same thing. I agree that it may be frustrating buying some so expensive without trying. They suggested me to do the same thing and they mention that I could get a refund if it doesn’t work out. One thing you can do is to try on the necklace or the rings made of the same stone and test out if that matches your skin tone. The mother of pearl ones should match all skin tones. Some of the other ones could be tricky.
