The first and last flights to/from Samui always used to be a lot cheaper but they seem to have stopped that now.

How long was the bus?

@@BTT-bennysthaitrips 10 hours from Samut Sakhon to the Raja ferry port. The Raja ferry was the only let down. We took Seatran on the way back. The bus was very good. We had a VIP room downstairs on the bus that only had 4 reclining seats in it. We travelled through the night so slept most of the way.

@@adrianpurser sounds like an adventure! Might try that one day. Do you think the family could handle it?

@@BTT-bennysthaitrips I'm not sure. I think you would need to use the money that you save to treat the family after the trip :). I was fine with the trip down to Samui. The trip back wasn't as good due to the bus being a lot older and we were upstairs. We mainly chose the bus because we were travelling from Samut Sakhon. We would have had to travel back to Bangkok to get a flight so that would make it a long trip anyway and it would make it quite expensive. Because we didn't really have a plan, last minute flights on Bangkok Airways were very expensive.

@@ianwallace16 agreed can be a nuisance! My advice has always been choose a pool view room if you can, failing that a standard.

@@BTT-bennysthaitrips Yes we loved it there pretty keen to go back to Koh Samui or explore Thailand further.

If you can score a room in A or B block? These are pool view rooms which are the furthest away from the Ark bar and the standard rooms.

Love your videos. We have stayed twice at Baan Samui Resort just down from there and again next year but didn't snorkel because we were told it wasn't a good area

Great news! I love it there, the gardens do a great job secluding you and the location is awesome. You're so right about the staff they raise the place to a different level, all so friendly. We will definitely return!

Hi, we went direct to the boat taxi, which is past the Pier if your travelling from Chaweng, next to the French bakery. There were loads of boats, we paid 1500B for 5 people. No need to book we just showed up. If you want to book the boat we used give them a call, phone number is in the video. Go for it and have a great time!

@@BTT-bennysthaitrips Thank you !! I contacted the phone number mentionned in the video and they told me the same trip with an extra island would be 3500 bath for two people.. i think i’m going to wait till i’m in koh samui and go directly to the boat taxi ^^

@@majdoulk yeh, definitely do that, sounds like an agent wanting their share. Go straight to the boat men at the boat taxi. I hope it works out. Sometimes it's not always best to book ahead!

My wife just told me we had a choice of a 3rd island, which would have been extra. But 2 was enough for us.

It's a great value day out, the boys will take you snorkeling if you want. Best to take your own gear if you have it. Enjoy!

@@BTT-bennysthaitrips Only done snorkeling in Cornwall where I live. Seas obviously a bit darker but still clear enough.
