Your landlord is responsible for fixing the hole in the ceiling. You should let him know that water is dripping from the ceiling.

Hey man. I don't know you and you probably don't know me but I can definitely tell you for 100% certainty that you are a very brave man and a much stronger one than you may think yourself as. I don't really have any way I can be able to help you but just know that take every chance and take every opportunity you can to make yourself and your life better. And hopefully you'll find yourself a woman that can keep you and your life happy.

I’m autistic and I panic if I have any electrical items plugged in. My home is tidy and I get very anxious when my home becomes cluttered. It makes me stressed if I can’t contain a clean environment. I use tonnes of bleaching agents and mix them up and I know that is not right. it is continuous and the fumes from the chemicals often irritate my lungs but I don’t see that as a problem.

do some research, don't mix certain chemicals, because it could severely damage your lungs.

The problem is the landlord. The furnace is broken during the coldest part of the season when it was five below. It was 50° in here and he was calling me a crybaby because I was cold. The Landlord is the problem. He doesn’t fix anything.

Caring for a home is a lot when you have physical barriers on top of autism. I'm wondering if some of what I do would be helpful for you. This is how I handle it: I have to prioritize tasks because I may not be able to do everything I would like to get done and it is a lot to look at a task like cleaning the whole house without getting overwhelmed, so I break it down into subtasks and I live by a routine of that breakdown so that it doesn't pile up. Animal care happens daily no matter how I feel - I wipe down dog crates, cat box is scooped, and I make sure food and water bowls are clean and filled. Weekly everyone gets brushed, first of the month dogs get bathed and everyone gets a nail trim. I usually completely swap out cat litter every other week. I also try to not go to bed with any dirty dishes in the sink. I'm not perfect at this, but it is a good goal. Clutter gives me anxiety because it is too much to process visually. That is priority number one for weekly cleaning on Sundays. At the bare minimum, I have to have the clutter gone once a week even if it means getting rid of things or donating things. I want the bare minimum of items sitting out and all trash taken out. It calms my mind and it makes cleaning easier. After the clutter, I prioritize sanitation. It doesn't have to be perfect, either. Just sanitary. I tackle dirty food items first (open containers/dishes/food debris on counters). Then I prioritize sanitation in the bathroom (seriously you can just spray a bleach cleaner on surfaces and use a toilet brush with more bleach in the toilet and call it good, might not be perfect but it is sanitary and it takes just a few minutes plus you don't have to scrub the shower/tub if you let the bleach spray set for a few minutes - just make sure you have a window open especially if you have asthma like me. If you really want to scrub it use a clean toilet wand so you're not reaching, then use a pitcher of water to rinse everything down the drain). If you don't have time or energy to vacuum your furniture, at least spritz some aerosol disinfectant on it like Lysol so soft surfaces are sanitary. Sometimes at this point, I'm spent, and there is still sweeping/dusting/mopping to do. If you get it done on house cleaning day, great. If not, at least your space is clutter-free and sanitary and it will be easier to get to those tasks another day. If you can save up some money in your PayPal account, a Roomba or something similar would make sweeping so much easier. I am saving for one. Disposable mop pads are nice too, but I use a reusable ocedar microfiber one that I toss in the wash with my towels. I bought an extra mop head so that if I have an animal mess mid-week I can clean it quickly. If your house always seems super dusty, make sure your landlord is changing out your furnace /HVAC filter regularly. Laundry is always a separate task for another day because I tend to get distracted and I end up leaving it in the washer and that's gross. I will set a timer to swap over my laundry while I do something else like read or play video games. And a part of the task is putting it away. It really helps if I focus entirely on this task without trying to do any other cleaning tasks or chores. It can take all day, but it is nice to not feel guilty about doing something fun in between because I'm accomplishing a chore, too. If you can afford paper plates I highly recommend that. It cuts down on dishes so much and I think it is a reasonable accommodation even if it does result in more waste. If you qualify for any in-home healthcare/home health aides, part of what they do is housekeeping. You might be better off trying to go that route to get some help with maintenance cleaning. Maid services are expensive and they expect you to deal with clutter before they come in to clean. And call your landlord about the water if you haven't already - if you don't soon there may be problems if the water damage gets worse and the ceiling will start to mold. I hope that helps a little. You deserve to live in a clean space. And so do your animals. Your dog reminds me a lot of my dog. Very sweet :)

In Colorado, there is Arc advocate that help a little bit. A lot of it is funding like there’s not enough funding to. I’m supposed to be getting someone help deep clean every so often but that’s not gonna happen. If I want one, I have to figure out how to cut funding and other areas to pay for it.
