why upload one side ?
I get asked this somewhat regularly and the answer is that my primary motivation is to encourage people to actually go check out a given release on its own terms, on its own platform, in hopes that some people will end up supporting the artist and buying their music. In this case, you can stream the other side for free on bandcamp, just follow the link in the description. Another reason is to leave space for other uploaders to come back and fill in gaps. I think having a release get split across a bunch of different channels all showcasing slightly different styles is better than having everything centralized, it leads people to explore more and discover more stuff they wouldn’t have otherwise. And the last reason is just that I like to curate my uploads so they’re somewhat aesthetically pleasing to me, and that includes not uploading too many tunes in a row from the same artist.
