DONT START ON A 600CC Motorcycle GET AN MT07
sup guys, i'm going to explain to you why you need to get a Yamaha MT07 as your first motorbike and not a 600cc supersport motorcycle! The MT07 has to be one of the best beginner bikes and one of the Ultimate budget motorcycles. It's got tons of MT07 Mods capability and is a great street bike that is good value for money. I'll be comparing the engine to that of a 600cc supersport sportbike engine and explain why the MT07 is the best bike to start on and why you should not start on a 600cc

First Ride on Kawasaki Ninja ZX6R 600cc Super Sport Bike | Beginner Rider Experience
Really happy I sold my 08 ninja at 19k mls, cos I loved riding it hard at higher revs.
I just got a 2012. It screams and first gear tops out around 80mph 😂
Most supersport bikes don't have a fuel gauge. You reset the trip meter every time you fill up and you get around 20miles when the light turns on.
could also reset the trip meter when the light comes on.
@@Omar-kw5ui My 2008 R1 automatically shows a new "F-trip" meter starting from 0 as soon as the fuel light turn on but still maintains the original trip meter in the background.
It's just a waste of resources and money.. you have to fuel up anyway.
Is there aftermarket cluster with fuel gage
@@1pyroace1 it won’t work because there is no fuel float in the tank to show the level. In the tank there is only a small sensor near the bottom that sense if the fuel is below or above that point
Do you know what tyre pressure you ride?
Why do you all say work your way up its your choice to speed and use it irresponsibly not everybody elses😂
had mad respect for bikes in generall. friends did die on bikes but i still loved them and decided to get one. Started on the MT07 (2015 + Akra) and so far im happy :) ride save
I ran out of gas today 🤣🤣🤣
Suspension is also adjustable to your wants/needs/weight
Don’t start on a mt07, get something with a good chassis lol
Can’t wait for spring, to get back on my mt07 again ❤
BUY WHATEVER YOU LIKE. That's the best advice. Don't listen to anyone and just go follow your heart, do what you like and ride what you love. Having ridden more than a dozen bikes including MT07 and CBR1000RR and others, the best bike to own is the one that you love
Look how much power it has... Accelerated and didn't move 😂
A guy in his 20s talking about comfort 😂😂, your body must be weak
MT07 is a great first bike. Plenty of low end torque for a new rider after gaining their licence. It’s super light, cheap and great fun in the twisties. Its power tails off quite quickly top end as it’s a parallel twin and around 75hp. Ideal for over eager new riders. Progress from there is to a triple like it’s 09 bigger brother and beyond or the sports bike route. Both of which have bucket loads more torque and power. There’s a big difference between twins and triples.
I'll be getting a 2014 yammie MT-07 with about 36000 kilometres through but good price, private seller who is quite honest and upfront, spent a couple bucks fixing and replacing parts so I'm pretty happy with my new ride, definitely want to rabbit hole into the mods however 😂😂 ima just stay broke in my 20's.
Weather is a bit shit atm, but if you want to go on a little blip lemme know. Stevenage based, saw that first roundabout and was like "hold up"
thought sounds almost as good as mine, then when you said bw, i loughed its the same pipe like mine. I would just ad mad reliability to review. my has 135 thousand on clock just regular maintanance
considering doing the DAS...considering a Honda CB650R or the Yamaha MT07 as a potential first bike
I’m 6ft3 when I had my mt07 my back hurt cause of the up right seating position I prefer sports bike crouched over position
How about a CB650R?
Scaring me bro my Zx6r has got 22k miles on it I just bought it
How much does the MT07 go for mate?
If your getting wrist pains on a 600 then your sitting on it wrong
man I like so much how you happy about that bike. I have a MT07 too and I love it just as much as you do. Best wishes from Germany
I started on a 2005 636, after less than a year I got an MV Agusta F3 800 and I'm still fine - anyone can start on anything without any major troubles it's all in your head.
Agreed but most beginners are young. Weve all been young and we know stuff can happen. Its as you said, its all in your head. Riding a 300hp bike doesnt mean youre automaticly going to die but as someone once said: Small bike+big mistake= small problem ->big bike+small mistake = big problem.
I started at young age on a 636 and would never recommend starting on a small bike.@@alexwithanx
I like the bike but I wish it had an analogue speedometer. Perhaps it would make for a nice project
Idk how it works in the UK but in my country we have to multiple tests where you have to make small corners, fully lean over the bike while you lean the other way at low speeds, slow slalom, fast slalom, and after you pass all those tests, you have to learn how to ride it on the streets and pass the street test as well. I'm doing it on a SV650, which is basically a MT07. I feel very comfortable with the bike now after about 40 hours. Do you still think I should start on a 650 rather than a 600?
Wind
bro saying obviouse thing : Dont buy super sport motor for tourism ... wow , no shot XD
"DONT START ON A 600CC Motorcycle GET AN MT07"... Mate the MT-07 rocks a 689cc engine.
Comment section is a circle jerk, just all self-congratulations. The MT-07 is the larger engine. Try looking at what makes an inline-4 develop more power.
@@steampunk888 the MT-07 is a CP2 engine not inline 4.... Also most 600cc bikes aren't exactly 600 but usually 20 or 30cc larger as well. Japanese brands always under report and over-deliver.
Damn I wish it was like this in my country, here beginner bikes are about 150 cc ;)
Sometimes I wonder if I should've just bought the mt07 and put the difference to a new car instead of getting a new hayabusa, tbh I don't really regret it, I'll get a mt07 in two years as well and call it a day
You certainly when for the extreme hey. Like a rocket launch 😎
What if you are 6.3 is it guud
Good value? there like 9 grand new 😂
MT07 fantastic bike. i owned one. but unfortunately was a bit small under my legs. Was great fun.
If you are big the mt07 is too low imo
It's amazing bike that can do basically anything. It's fast, reliable, economical, comfortable and looks so good. All the MT models are incredible. When my CB 1300 retires, I'll get an MT-10.
Sorry but it's hardly fast😂😂
@@kangacrew540 That depends on your perspective. 0-100 kmh in under 3,5 seconds is supercar acceleration. But today every bike under 200 hp is considered slow.
If you wind it out yeah on low end. It's really a bike designed for beginners with the restriction on it . The ho model is so close to the 09 on price why would you bother. MT 09 has so much usable torque and just delivers that power to you without much effort.
What color way do you have? Never seen this kind!
An xsr700 is better
At 6'3 with relatively long legs, I am more concerned about comfort and having enough leg room.
You do know that anything under 750 is a girls bike?... get yourself an MT09.. now thats a bike
I don’t see yellow ones available anywhere? There’s blue black or grey? Where did you find a yellow one?
was driving mt 07 for licence.loved it but i hate wind when going over 100km/h
I have heard a lot of good stuff about MT 07, sadly yamaha won't launch it here, however Trident took its place
so if i am a new rider is it much better to get mt07 and restrict it so i can control it better or do i get like mt03 and the then after few years get mt07? thinking of getting a license next year
It depends on you. A 07 is often better, as you learn early on how to handle it. In my mind: If you can handle the 07, then you can automatically handle the 03. If you can only handle the 03, then you need to learn again when getting the 07, and you might even be nervous with it, which will likely just make you a dangerous driver. Also, if you get the license, get the unlimited one right away.. that way you do not have to upgrade and go back to school, and you will actually train on at least a 600 cc bike so when you have your license in hand, you can already handle the 07 anyways.
Agree. Have a cbr600rr. The clutch and throttle is def harder to learn than an mt07
I crash many times with these bike zx6r 2011 lol
I'd suggest the cfmoto 650nk. more bang for buck. TFT display, Steel braided break lines all for a couple grand less than that MT!
Has anyone figure out a better way to deal with the wind buffering? I'm running a Puig touring windscreen and I still get the nasty bobblehead effect and makes riding uncomfortable
Get a sports bike or tourer. It was designed to include the elements and ride like being at one with the road
nice bike, just got the 05 B1H can't wait
