I find it extremely interesting that back then, South Asia culture was viewed in the West as highly sexualised. Extremely erotic dancers with erotic moves, whilst nothing too crazy, kinda helped painted a not so pretty picture about the culture to the eyes of the Western people. Sure, they have plenty of murals, statues and paintings depicting half naked woman, but here we have them too! Statues and paintings from the ancient Greece to the Renaissance featured many half naked woman. I think it's kinda weird, that somehow, South Asia culture was depicted this way, even though the West certainly have their fair share of eroticism. But then again, I was brought here by a Signalis fan animation so the internet surely is weird, very weird.
