Yes!! The Eiger is definetly a run that is worth doing, Masha has already run once the E51 of Eiger, she loved it and this year she is trying another race to have more views from that area. No worries about the distance, you can start at the 20k UTMB races level and after a year of doing them you will be more used to them and build up for longer distances! :)

@@oscarandmasha, after posting the previous comment I went back to your video about E51, where I left a comment three months ago that I would like to do that run :)) Probably because of me watching that video I got bombarded of beautiful videos from Eiger in the last months :D

Hello @macau.friend ! Congratulations on taking the challenge of CCC! We hope you enjoy the experience very much! 1) No crew: It will not be such a bad deal but this means that you will have to plan your food and clothing more thoroughly because you will not have someone to take to you a change of clothes or to give you any gels so you will have to carry more weight. It's not a deal breaker, just prepare ahead and it should be ok! 2) I would say that starting the race when going downhill I almost never walked, but in some uphills specially the long ones walking was the way to go to not burn my legs. After the 70km point I began to falter as the fatigue was reaching out to me so from that moment I went just slow enough to keep reaching the checkpoints but running began to feel impossible, specially at the last 10km, when everyone is like "you are almost there!" but... there is still 10km to go :D 3) Before leaving your hotel, Pleeease, use the toilet, the ones in the start area are packed and it can take 45 minutes to queue for them, it's insane! Then it get's better as the runners distribute through the race, carry on your backpack some toilet paper, you never know when you have to find a spot to... well you know, always good to have something to clean yourself :D This advice comes from our experience, we really like these events and we are very happy to hear from people that also participate on them! Try to enjoy and if you make it before the cut-off time it's already a great achievement, not too many people can finish a 100k run in les than 26 hours in the Mountains!

@@oscarandmasha Thank you so much for the detailed reply! It’s really helpful. Excellent advice regarding the toilet paper 😁 I plan to run as much as I can on flat surfaces and maybe on some of the more mild downhills. Hopefully, will make it before cutoff. Hope to see you in August!

Hello! That was definetly enough between the check points for Masha, but her water intake is lower than mine (Oscar). So, when it's really hot I try to use the water deposit of one liter that fits in the running backpack!
