Hey everyone! My name is Eric, and I'm one of the founders of 3rdChapt3r. I wanted my first video for the channel to be about a struggle very personal to me: how to find purpose in life. Recently I discovered that I wasn't feeling happy or fulfilled in my current situation, and I made some changes to fix that. It wasn't easy and it's not simple to figure out how to go about these changes, so I ...

Hey, I’m Charles Hanckel, one of the co-founders of 3rd Chapt3r. Over the years, I found myself being robbed of my time and energy-the two most important resources any of us have. This was leading me to directionless days, poor motivation, and an overall feeling that my days didn’t matter. I was busy, but I wasn’t fulfilled. One day, I grew sick of it and decided to make a change. In this video...

    Hello Corey. As a fellow ADHD’er I found your videos interesting. I see it’s been quite a while since you’ve posted one. I’m unfortunately all too familiar with the ADHD tendency to move on to something new, but I thought your videos were good, even if you weren’t getting the audience you might’ve liked. So, just out of curiosity, where did you move on to? Still medicine, or full time entrepreneurship?

    I want an all in one notes app (coming from Evernote) but also looking at PARA in the Windows world. Realizing the all in one does not exist for me. I will use Apple Notes(web and IOS), Microsoft Todo, Outlook.

    the free version of ToDoist is plenty powerful enough for most people; tons of features that used to be available only via the premium version have been made free

    Raather than a todo list app, would just adding a note to each project called - To-do? You just cross off the items as usual and each project has its own todo list

    Why not just build a Structure for your Second Brain and use one App like Notion? Only downside, for now, is there's no offline mode. Having 3 Apps, where you mirror the same structure because they won't play well together seems shifty. Also why both Keep and ToDo? You can make ToDo/Checklist items in Keep.

    I don't understand how Areas, Resources and Archives are different. And I do my project and to do lists in KEEP.... 😨

    • @mickaelsflow6774
      @mickaelsflow6774 Год назад

      First, you can totally do everything in Keep. I'd recommend using Tags effectively as "folders" and "subfolders". Not for any reason but for you to be able to find things and SEE things together. Second, to your first point and interrogation: they are all "time" sensitive. 1. Projects are with a clear deadline. 2. Areas are repeatable process, action, research. 3. Resources are the one you keep around to reference sources, to be able to share to people when they ask you that receipt for your blueberry cookies or what have you. 4. Archives are more so when you don't really use something or some resources, but you don't have nor have to delete things 'cause... it's all digital. Some examples: Not true for all people, but likely a Project that's finished might end up in Resources if it's still relevant. Or in Areas if it's a recurring project. An Area that is not relevant might be things related to a job/employer. You'd "bump it down" to Resources. Maybe if you switch career, you actually drop it to Archive. Not relevant anymore and likely for a long time. Maybe you keep all your family and friends recipes over the years in Keep. But you don't have time to cook anymore. They might switch from Resources to Archive. Still can be useful for someone, but you have two jobs, twin babies, or are traveling a lot. Now is clearly not the time.

    You just posted this video but now I'm very curious about how you'd implement AI like ChatGPT into this method and why/why not! I've always had a very 'interesting' relationship with teaching myself things and that piece about starting with the impleimplementation of what you've learned when the feeling of not being certain that you're knowledgeable enough seems VERY true and confronting.

    I like BUSY CAL - because it interfaces with Reminders so I can time block and drag tasks into my calendar and use natural language to schedule stuff… it it cost $49 one time for the computer and $10 for the iOS devices (one cost covers both iPhone and iPad and Apple Watch)
