i have this camera for a week now, and I really enjoy it! the only thing that bothers me is the half press button. to go from half press to full press is so easy that I shot 5 photos by mistake in my first roll!

nope, to be very honest, it is just an average camera. best film camera ever? there is not just one. it all depends on formats, and also purpose and then breaks down further to manual and automatic cameras. contax cameras are not bad, but they are not great either, they are just average but extremely overpriced...

I haven't tried a Contax G1 but I have the Contax 167 MT and the Contax 137 MD Quarts and I love them both, with a Carl Zeiss lens they take very good photos, some of my favorites in fact.
Oh you would love the g1 or the g2! Let me know when you do!

The aperture switch can be left on open, only set it to manual if you want to preview the aperture. When in auto, the lens will stop down to the aperture chosen. Unless you use 67 lenses on a 645, they have to be shot in manual because they down adjust.
