Hi Vanessa, that’s a great point of view! Completely understand your thought process. The purpose of the analogy was to combat Dan’s version of the “table”, which was more self-centered. The goal was to picture how our relationships as Christians are not just meant to benefit ourselves, but glorify God in it. What we do here on earth, including and especially in marriage, should be to please and obey Him. Thank you for your feedback and support!

@@SSB.Podcast1 idk ur only 9 episodes in don’t give up yet. But scrolling back through the shorts none of them were like that interesting or really said anything, maybe that’s just me tho. But if you honestly want to know what I think I think these might be more entertaining if you set out to talk about some more ambitious topics, say something worth saying, take some risks. Like idk for example some ideas condemn something, take a controversial stance, tell a story, proselytize, preach. I don’t think there’s anything wrong with the production quality or the format tho, the shorts aren’t too long. I’m sure there’s a margin you could gain by gaming the algorithm in some way but no amount of gaming the algorithm will help if no one is entertained by your content, and at the same time it doesn’t matter how bad the algorithm treats you if your content makes me really resonate with something you said and share it with someone like “what this guy had to say was so impactful I think you should hear it too” or “this guy said something I believe but I know you don’t believe so I’m sending it to you so you can hear him out”

Hey Ryan, Look brother, hopefully there can be some clarity in regards to the comment you’ve made. With much respect towards you, and with love towards God’s Word. The Star of David (or Shield of David, as it’s known in Hebrew) isn’t the “symbol of Kabbalah”, though Kabbalah does use it as a symbol with a couple of meanings. Even pagan religions use it as well. But that doesn’t make it wrong. It’s a symbol that stands for a people, the Jewish People. No one truly knows the complete origin of it, but it is found all throughout history, and it predates the Zohar (which is the Book of Kabbalah/Mysticism). The intention behind using it is where sin can be found. If someone is using it as a “good luck charm”, and applying “mystic power” to it, it can become Idolatrous. But if a person sees that symbol for its core meaning, and chose to use it because it represents a people, or because it is part of their heritage, how can someone judge this? And what gives someone reason to judge it? To criticize the Star of David also opens room for criticism towards the symbol of the Cross (which is a symbol predominantly used by Christians as a whole). The cross is an instrument of death, on which Jesus was killed on. Though Jesus died to pay for the price of sin, our faith is in him because He Rose Again (1 Cor 15, Rom 8, Col 2.11-15). The whole basis of our faith is not only because the Messiah died (because what good is a dead Messiah?) but because he Overcame death, and that gives us the certainty of Eternal Life. I’m not saying it’s wrong to wear a cross or to have them at churches, I’m just saying that: if Jesus died in an Electric Chair, it would be weird for us to carry around a symbol of an Electric Chair around our necks, wouldn’t it? The Bible speaks of the cross, and even say that we should carry our own cross. But if we are to do that as Christ has done it, then we should carry our cross for death (and hopefully death of sin and our flesh). Because the cross symbolizes death, plain and simple. I understand that most people will use the symbol of a cross because they want to show that they are believers, and that’s okay. But tell you what, the cross was used for Centuries to kill and torture many, by Christians. That still doesn’t make it something that someone couldn’t wear or use, because it’s judged by the intention behind how you use it. If we were to also generalize the argument that “just because Kabbalah uses that symbol it’s bad”, satanists and many pagan religions use the Cross as a symbol as well. But that doesn’t make it wrong. I’m just saying that if the Bible doesn’t condemn it, then we should always look at the intention behind it. That guy is Jewish, and he wears a Star of David, and that’s okay. God bless!
