@@Numocron as rude Music Boxes go it’s pretty cute and Nice realize it’s only got 50 notes to play so 50 notes isn’t a lot of notes but it’s a small mechanism and it’s got a thick note in a very small space so that is the thing about rouge. Everything is compact if you got a 72 note rouge or 140 foot News that’s a giant step above but compared to antique Music Box no comparison whatsoever what do you wanna do is look up the two common Giro pianoforte do you wanna look at the Mermod 24 inch in a changeable box I’ve got and you want to play the Carmen Jaro mandolin box those things kick some Royal ass

@@Numocron I have a playlist called Music box collection or something to that effect. It’s has the piece that I prefer. Though Reuge boxes are new and crisp my heart still belong to the 100+ year old pieces. What do you think?

I was going to respond to one of your videos. My apologies, I didnt realize you had a music box pager and a collector. I see you know music boxes and it's in your name for goodness sake!!. Im sorry I went on a bit about Reuge but I used to be a Reuge dealer and though new they have there charm. And being new they have a nice crisp sounds though painfully small cylinders .. even the big pieces 144 note etc. Compred to a real old machine...they aren't gong to last 200 years....not those weeks governors they employ....little toys!!!. I see you understand the old vintage boxes. Anyway, I see a tune you described in one of your boxes. Waltz of Roses. I recall one of my boxes having that but was searching and didnt find but I found 2 with Walt of Fleurs by Godfrey. I wish had Waltz of Fleurs by Mozart. I was lucky enough to get a cylinder with Marriage of Figaro. I'll send it to you plus I have a Duccommun-Girod as well. Your small box is by my favorite maker. Its in need of some tweaking but thats a re rare good box, You should have it restored a bit.....

Also you need to "ALLOW COMMENT" on your you tube video with the tune list of D-Girod box. No way to leave a comment as it is....thx

@@dclaet1135 This box is hard to record. So many notes aiding blur in recording. As for zither, when you lower the comb it covers produce guitars effect. Zithers dampen the notes and create a tin effect but I believe this zither is meant to produce that guitar mandolin instrument effect. The case of this box is finest inlays. I have a very similar box that is very similar design. Thanks for writing. Nice to know people watch these videos. I’m actually trying to loosen the load and sell some pieces. Just too many for a non museum. I do love the cylinder music boxes of quality. Many are average but ones that stand out like the ones I have are very nice

@@glattrudi I was a pleasure to hear from you Rudy. Hope you are well taking care of all those wonderful boxes you have. I’m trying to find a mermaid fairy right now. A friend of mine has it. It’s got three China and it’s been totally restored it bells, Orchestra box without the organ which I don’t like the organ thank God so it’s the regular box spells cast and drums mermaid for 14 inch. I’m trying to give him nine grand for it. It’s an awful lot of money Market dead but I just have to have it. He might not sell to me too. He might decide he wants to keep happy new year Rudy. I don’t blame him

I have that cd too. I think it’s same model. Hell might be same box. My friend had the twin to this box but finger carved not metal inlaid like this one
