Tonight it was Victor, Edgar and I. I picked up some cars in the 3rd Level while Victor continued with an Operation he had Started before. Around 7´ 20¨ we have some Caboose Kicking! Este es un diseño magnífico. ¿Cómo has logrado construirlo? Me resulta muy difícil conseguir materiales básicos, como pistas y elementos de escenografía, aquí en Costa Rica.
Muchas Gracias. Esta maqueta lleva 35 años en construcción (ampliación tras ampliación tras ampliación). Durante mi carrera me tocó viajar mucho y la mayor parte la compré en USA cuando mis viajes me llevaban ahí. Sin embargo, últimamente compro las cosas por Internet. compro en: factorydirecthobbies.com/pages/ho-trains www.walthers.com/ Y pido que me lo manden a mi casillero en Miami (Red Logistics).

Hay que pitar por seguridad, cada vez que pasa el tren por un lugar que pueda estar poblado es necesario hacer saber que viene el tren, lo mismo en intersecciones con carreteras, así que felicito al ingeniero de esa operación.

I doubt Big Boy doesn't move by itself but it's pushed by diesel locomotive helper.I don't see any steam eject from the cylinders.
It Normally moves without the help of the Diesel. However on steep grades the Helper may help, going down the helper always will help with the Dynamic Brakes. The helpe is always providing electricity for the cars and in some instances (like the one you refer to) the helpe will aid the Big Boy in starting gently with no steam obstructing the videos and photos of all the admirers, You have to remember that the Big Boy is a JEWEL that the Union Pacific has lended us to see in operation. The UP and ALL of US want it to last in operation a long long time, and that wouldn´t be possible if we stress it constantly, so the Engineers try not to force it nor do they try to show off what it could do. She´s an AMBASSADOR, not the Company´s Champion (although she could be).

Great layout. what is the load in the cars?
Thank You David! The Load is Gypsum. I was using Gypsum Paste for some sceanery and with some left over I created a slab, let it harden and then broke it into little pieces.

Todos los Pueblos de mi Maqueta son Pueblos a lo largo de la línea del Tren de Costa Rica. El Nivel Principal está en el Valle Central, El Valle de La Estrella está en la Costa del Caribe y Puntarenas está en la Costa del Pacífico.
Se ve muy tuanis pasando por tierra de culebras.

Yes, that is what I like of this decoder, it changes the sound of the chuffs depending on the load. Here the 2-8-0 is going downhill with a light load. When it is going up hill or on a tight curve it sounds more CHUFF CHUFF CHUFF!

Muy bueno, lástima que no pude ir pero estos días estoy con mucho trabajo y además se nos volvió a dañar uno de los carros, así que no tenía transporte, la lluvia no me importa a mí, pero con tanto que hacer se me imposibilita, espero que en poco tiempo ya se normalice. Saludos, muy bonito ese tren largo de boxes, definitivamente mi tipo favorito de vagón.
