What ever happened to Making a series?
Please make magnetic sign as well
Do I need the ethernet cable? I’m trying to connect My Roland bn20a for the first time to my pc
Great video, been using Versaworks for years and there are so many features I'm not even using because I don't explore them.
Glad it was helpful!
Awesome
Hi, I always put a few drops of cleaning solutions in the capping Station head after I cleaned around it. Since I have been doing this really helps keep it running and printing. Great video
Possibility to point us in the right direction on where to learn how to use a UV printer/plotter please? For a complete beginner
THANKYOUUUSOMUCHHHH!!!
Bro I want some details please reply
What details would you like? You can email any questions to us sales@thevinylguys.co.uk
Very useful, thanks Vinyl Guys!
Any advantage to printing stickers like these on UV vs on eco solvent?
@@garyguildea6817 the main reason we use the UV for stickers, labels and same day signage is that they are cured and dry immediately so we can laminate the straight away and get them cut and sent out. Prints on the eco solvent need to out gas for a few hours before they’re laminated. There are pros and cons to both print processes which is why we have both in the print room
@@thevinylguys I see what you mean. We’ve a vg3 at the minute and working around the time for out gassing can sometimes be awkward. It’ll be a while yet before we need another machine but I can see the use in having a UV and eco solvent as you mentioned. We’re planning on expanding into doing more labels and particularly more safety/warning labels & signage so always handy to know what process suits best and what process others use for producing them. I see you have a Roland flatbed, how are you finding the output from that?
i have windows 11 and it doesnt work as it should. Do you have any tip?
does it work with a Mac?
Honestly, being new to the world of Digital Printing. These guys are THE BEST - So helpful in every way.
Awesome! Thanks!
Thank you very informative indeed. Now my friend you did advise to change these p rollers with the assembly off the machine. Would kindly demonstrate how to take off the entire roller assembly. Deeply appreciate that. Thank you
Thank you 🙏
The ink cart size limitation is a real shame. Love the front loading, and speed increase is nice. I personally found the BN-20 frustratingly slow.
Great video Carl...you reckon this is better than the BN20-A?
Thanks 👍🏻 overall we think it’s a vast improvement on the BN20 in terms of speed and functionality but that’s not to say the original BNs need to be quickly sold and forgotten. Like all Roland machines; if they’re looked after they can last for years creating some amazing prints and solid margins and pay for them selves over and over. Having said that if anyone’s at the point where they can make the decision between the two, then the BN2-20 is the logical one to go for
What material you used to make these safetly signs?
The board material is correx fluted board. Cost effective, lightweight and rigid enough to last the required time needed by the customer. We do also produce these using aluminium composite panels for customers who need longer lasting signage
@@thevinylguys thanks for your reply.. Where to buy these boards from and how long does it last for please...also how to learn about signage materials?
@@CustomiseIt just google your local supplier for correx or fluted board. Depending on the print you put on them (eco solvent or UV and laminated or unlaminated) and the environment it’s used in, they can last years. Realistically in a construction environment they tend to be used for 3-6 months and replaced
Great video Carl, feel confident enough to try this myself on my BN20 now!
Let us know how it goes and anything else we can help with just give us a shout
Yes if you take a look at our main channel you’ll see a video covering print, laminate and cut which shows you how to apply registration marks
What about cutting out laminated prints? Is it possible to create compatible markers with VersaWorks?
My magenta is new and the machine states it is empty. It is new. I cannot run any cleaning since it does not read the magenta what can I do to fix this. I already manually cleaned the print head manually. Any help is appreciated.
thank you so much! i was able to config my IP at my RF640.
Hello, a question, I am doing a long job, about 400 units and I want the wh and the gloss to come out in one pass. Is that possible? Or should I print the wh first and then go back to the origin to put gloss on it yes or yes, I hope you understand what I want since the translator is helping me haha
Thank bro i was struggling with swatchs but now in better will try it tomorrow morning if this works
"Promo SM"
I’m wishing I never got rid of those puppy pads now…..!
Once again this video has proven invaluable when I've lost connection. Thanks Guys !! Appreciate the video. Graffic print
What cutter is this?
That’s a Roland print and cut machine VG2-640
Nice simple video. Love the printer and results but as for the contortionist that thought up the cleaning…….
Hi, I was just wondering… if I got a software, and I'm waiting for the printer, can I set a random IP address? Or where I can get an IP while I'm waiting for my printer?
What cutter are you using?
Kiss cut?
They’re being contour cut yes, not perf cut though
@@thevinylguys awesome
Thank you for including the part numbers.
Nice job 👏
do you cut section the lettering to help with the curve of the panel?
You can do on the rear panels depending on the van but sometimes if it gets cut down on the sides it can be to make the larger sections more manageable. We always use a good quality polymeric air release material which also makes dealing with panel curves a lot easier, especially for full coverage on the rear doors that have more complex curves (panels curve horizontally and vertically) such as a transit custom or transporter
Looks amazing
Nice a clear explanation, thanks…
Glad it was helpful!
Hello i have problem my BN20a is non printing, she print a Black line an them nothing more yesterday
Thanks for the video Carl
salvaste mi vida, muchos cariños y saludos desde CHILE
how to set beginning od graphic to view in right bottom side?
Your videos help a lot, good job! I have a question, on the Roland VG3-540 is it possible to reduce the vinyl advance speed when the machine is reading the cut marks? as the machine is very quick to read and sometimes jams the material.
Hi, thanks very much, glad you’re finding the content useful. I’m afraid you can’t adjust that speed. It may be worth making sure you leave some extra material at the front of the job to prevent it catching on the cover or lifting when feeding when it’s reading the crop marks
My plate got bent and the screw piece broke off. I had to create a new hole, but the plate ended up a bit shorter. The machine could not read the pinch roller. By moving the little black pad forward, the machine is printing again. Thank you for the valuable information you provided and the time you took to make this video.
what brand of mounting table are you using?
Hi, it’s a Rollover Flatbed table from Signmaster Systems in Whitchurch
Can you pull ink through a vs 540 print head with a syringe like can on sp 540 to help unclog a printhead?
😂
Will this work on a completely dry head unused for about 2 years?
It’s unlikely but no harm in trying as it’ll most likely be unusable and need replacing
not at all....ink tube dried down to print head.....it need to replace the print head, damper and if can be flush out the ink in inktube from ink cartridge INlet down to damper try otherwise u have to replace also.
Where do you download the swatches? The ones that I have found do not have the prefcut.
If you look at our videos on the channel there is one covering this
