Vickie and I love to travel! In 2020 while on a trip to Idaho we decided to rent an RV for a week to check out RV life. We boondocked In Montana by a stream and fell in love with RVing.. Upon returning to PA we purchased a 2021 Geo Pro 19FBS that we named Georgie. We pull Georgie with Rosie, our 2007 Ford F250. This channel will feature some of our 25,000 mile travels during our first two years of part time camping, and future travels. In 2023 we plan on visiting the Williamsburg, VA area in April. Then in late June we plan on visiting the Sharbot Lake area of Ontario, before traveling to Alaska. Please subscribe and hit the bell for all notifications, so you don’t miss any of our videos.

Erie & Air Force Museum

The start of our first RV travel of 2024, has us headed west. Our first video of this trip has us in Erie, Pa and then to Springfield, Ohio. Springfield is close to Dayton, Ohio and the United States Air Force Museum, which we visited, and show on this video.

After watching your Alaska trip my wife and I are about to purchase a 2205s. I thought if it can survive Alaska it should be fine for the lower 48. The biggest thing I’ve pulled is a 16 foot pop up and a 16 foot boat. Should be an interesting learning experience. How much water to you normally carry? Going to hear Pastor Jack is on my Bucket list. I listen live some Sunday mornings if we’re away from home.
Sorry for the delay, I always put at least 15 gallons in the fresh tank, and 5 gallons of fresh water in the black tank. But I have traveled with a full 52 gallon fresh water tank, when expecting heavy winds. Because the added weight of the water will lower the center of gravity of the rig.

Your Alaska series was very interesting. It’s on our Bucket list. How did the 2205 do? We are taking delivery on a 2205 spring of 2024. My other question did you reserve camp sites months in advance or as you went? Safe travels.
Great vid and like how you’re keeping it real; We purchased a Grand Design XLS 22mle back in 2022. The dealers in Florida were way too high! So we left Miami, FL to Cookeville, Tennessee to trade in our Surveyor 19BHLE and as you, we saved including fuel cost etc $7k in savings. And we made a trip out of it. And camped in Tennessee state park, Campes in GA and in Mount Dora, FL. God Bless 🌅

such a beautiful trailer I would not want to take it on the Alcan Highway you might want to think about taking a ferry to Anchorage and driving up from there. Roads are paved scenery, beautiful. I’m afraid the Alcan will just tear up your trailer. Best of luck.
Kevin, We took it up and back in July and August this past summer. No major problems and the scenery is spectacular . We did have some minor stone damage to the front of trailer, but it has a rubber/soft plastic on the bottom portion of the front cap, but no big deal. The windshield did got a rock ding on it, but that happened in Washington state of a freshly paved road, when a dump truck passed us in the opposite direction.
@@Seemore724 I am so glad you had a wonderful trip Alaska’s absolutely beautiful I would love to see more Canada I used to live in Fairbanks Alaska 100 years ago when I was 19 and 20 years old had since taken a cruise on the inland passage. Absolutely stunning. Glad you had such a great trip. Glad to hear no major damage.

We arrived home safe and sound on Tuesday evening. Wednesday afternoon we were going to run an errand in Lancaster and then take Rosie to Hassler. 6.2 miles from home at the traffic lite at the Golden Triangle Shopping Center on RT 501, Rosie quit running and we got it towed to Hassler Diesel. So we drove Rosie 12,320 miles and it quit running the next day after 6.2 miles. GOD sure is good!
I still say (if you read my text) that man who got the starting fluid for you was/is an angel. If just a man, he was definitely heaven-sent!

I apologize for not replying sooner, we just completed a 12,300 mile round trip to Alaska. Ton answer your question, I use a standard hitch I purchased off Amazon, and it is not a weight distribution hitch. I dislike the stresses that those hitches put on the frame of the trailer. I installed air bags on my F250 Super Duty and level the rig using the air bags. I know people claim that it does not distribute the weight between the truck and trailer, but when I used a CAT scale it was balanced nicely. No problems after close to 20,000 miles towing this way.
