Thanks for sharing your story Sibaphiwe

You say it's difficult to make money as a comedian, it's not if you're good, I did it just fine, until these bastards accused me of something I didn't do and stole all of my money.
You're not a good comedian, at all. And I've never accused you of anything other than being an attention seeking loser, but this kind of behaviour makes me think that the lady doth protest too much. Either way, I don't care about you at all, Tom. I forget you even exist until you beg for my attention. It's really sad.
Nobody cares about you hacks

❤️❤️ The New World Daughter. We Love You Lex 😙
Thank you for this really dope convo 🙏🏽👑
Nah, thank you!
Soooooooo….. Sipho takes this being grateful thing to whole new level by figuring out what is going on in da lives of the people he is grateful for and giving an extra hand when he can. Keeping strong ties is good. I relate to him on not wanting to attention at all and being self reliant. He does it cause he says he’s an introvert I “Juss” do it cause I try my best to seek validation from myself only. Being an introvert gives you more privacy, mental strength and autonomy but to much you become a raving lunatic. My mind went 🤯 when he said “ His biggest fear is that the music industry won’t accommodate all the diversity implying that he fears music will have similar styles nothing more As a guy who don’t care bout music much I have to admit this Is worrisome I can imagine there being 20 Playboi Carti’s over a period of 10 years - the horror & I F wit Carti SLATT 🧛🏿♀️ 🩸 🦇 . A wholesome interview a must watch for any starting out independent rapper but Muh PLATOON.
We here
Man I’ve listened to so many episodes I’m starting to associate excitement and nostalgia to the intro song. You should also make it outro song at the end of podcast. Ask people to sub, like and share the podcast. Do it a couple of times through the podcast
Damn, Durban comedy used to be wild.
This is so cool. You should do more of these.
I've thought about it a few times but figured I'd focus on the podcast until it's sustaining itself and then maybe revisit this.
Oh man Bob thanks again for hooking this up my the podcast Gods bless you. Here’s my opinion on the episode. Part 1 “How Atalya Chana thinks humanity dealt with the pandemic“ I disagree with the notion that people adapted to live in chaos, but I won’t get into that I’ll focus more on how she’s amazed that humans adapt when their survival is threatened. Then she goes on and ask a question I never thought of “What is wellness in this pandemic?” The answer for me is return to normalise even though I didn’t feel much pain in the chaos and to an extent benefited I want things to be normal again that’s wellness for me. Part 2 “ The little she used to be an actress“ Bob imma call the feminist police for calling Atalya an actor “How dare you!” Quote: Greta Thunberg 😂😂😂😂💀 Anyway I think this the current trial for youth to go through by making it with not much or any support from certain organisations hence we use the little we have to make it such as old laptops with difficulty running key software, broken ones to run a website ( fuck the guy who took yo domain Bob❗️) asking a friend to bring a camera and another friend to do this. This the is one of the souls of South Africa “the do it on your own chief can’t wait for dat call”. Then Atalya Chana shows her ingenuity, professionalism and commitment to her career by using opportunities she received to showcase her art to network to acquire more opportunities. Most of us don’t do this we dust ourselves & go home. This is a key lesson I learnt a tip imma steal. To add icing on the cake Atalya uses the leftovers such extra film ( I assume this what she implied ) for future work that’s a epitome of creativity. Part 3 “Healing” Chana empathises that her art she uses it to encourage healing & mental wealth - she implies we all need healing even those of us who think we are alright cause she understands that everybody’s trauma & struggle is just as real as it feels to them. No pain is invalid, things don’t hurt less because your story trauma & struggle in comparison to others hurts more so let’s rather draw from these experiences inspiration to find success, recovery, mental health and community. That’s powerful cause it moved Bob 😂😂😂💀 me & I presume anyone who listened. We humans tend to dwell to much on our differences instead focus on the things we have in common to grow together - however, if we didn’t focus on these differences that lead us to size up and one up manship each other how would you know you are alive? Solution separate living even though I believe in multiculturalism I think separate living allows everybody to accept that are we different without conflict. Something else I noticed was the amount of emotional phrases and words she used during the intriguing interview. She was so deep in her feminine state that my phone turned pink while listening to the podcast 😂😂😂💀. I’ve put my phone on Facebook market place for sale cause we don’t want no pink phones in da house. Thats a good quality to have carry on being feminine as fuck. In conclusion, what I learnt is try to have a deeper understanding of shii ( What is wellness in a pandemic ?) and when you get an opportunity use that opportunity to network and find others on similar journey to make it in your career.
These guys are so cool. Loving their music. Thanks for hooking this up.
Gotta check this book out.
cam lore pog
I think people love you more / you’ve got somewhat a cool personality. Henceforth maybe interviews with you do better than guests. Another theory I have is South Africa doesn’t have a massive fan base for underground acts excluding the big guests you interviewed. By the way it’s me Second Gen
Shot for the somewhat compliment. It's weird because, in my mind, people listen to the podcast for the guests and tolerate me. It's cool to know that I'm the draw for some people, but yeah, it's pretty difficult to get people to give a damn about lesser-known artists.
That granny story is crazy.
Talk about different times. Interesting story, gonna add the full episode to my list.
Damn, this is a great conversation. Can't wait for the book.
Thanda is so wise. I understand why he went into Art Directon but would love to see him shooting the new wave of artists.
You look like Anakin 15 years later if he didn’t fall to the darkside chilling in his bed on Naboo. Anyway, man this Simp Slayer dude asked them questions you sound like a smart guy or rather say you are smart guy cause you took life seriously at an early age by working early on.
Shot!
Bruh the thumbnail got me rolling 😂😂😂💀 Man it was interesting to know you’ve done a lot of minimum wage jobs and you eventually became a write-comedian. You’re a go getter I’m inspired.
The minimum wage jobs are probably the biggest reason why I'm a socialist 😂😂😂 But, yeah, eventually I started betting on myself. Sometimes it's worked out, sometimes I've failed drastically, but at least I'm doing the things that I want to do.
Yo this Rofhiwa guy was really open and glad he had a positive response to my questions. Next time I’ll only ask a few. Another ting to mention this convo really flowed and now I’m interested in checking out the guy’s book and watching the Bo Burnham movie y’all enjoyed. Now the whole isolation ting it’s good for a while like a year or 3, but anything more than that is unhealthy Another stream you hit out the park.
These streams get better and better it’s really great to have someone that fs wit you as an interviewee. The conversation was hella interesting and flowed smoothly l
Conrad Koch is mind blowing smart smart smart man! Your podcast shows are awesome man
This interview was top notch Schalk really talked and talked and talked bout himself so openly
The banana dude / Schalk Bezuidenhout ❗️
Simp Slayer is Simp Slayer thanks for the shout at the beginning. Lessons learnt be hard on yourself , improve your craft doing some free iish close to your industry and be over prepared. Bob aren’t you a bit of celeb 😂💀
Definitely not a celeb. Moderately known in irrelevant circles, I'd say.
Really enjoyed this interview! Such great flow of conversation.
Thanks for the feedback! Glad you enjoyed it.
Man I joined this compilation suggestion do dis every 15 episodes or 20 episodes. ( 😬 don’t like telling people what to do but I like giving feedback I guess ) I related with the guy comedian who said that when he made mad jokes bout people in his own race then after the show some spectators would come to him and say racist shii and he said he’s enabling racism. I’ve done that a couple of times and I think I heard you’ve enabled a friend to be racist towards you to help his career or it kinda made him change how he does things for his career. This whole enabling racism thing depends, but y’all right to not let it get to far. On the other hand, I learned a lot new things especially the part where Gola talks about how not having internet dooms your life these days like how the internet has become too important. Man it gave me an idea to other issh I wanna solve but don’t wanna get into to much detail. Yeaa and sooo man you doing a great job
This was a great interview enjoyed it big time
Coco is the best. Makes me rethink my approach to nightlife.
Good Podcast but your intro's are too long (Constructive criticism)
Hey Sibs, thanks for listening and for the feedback. I really appreciate it. I've had mixed reviews on the intros with some people loving them and others skipping them so I've set it up so the image changes from the "Introducing" section to the portrait when the intro ends. If you hover over the bottom of the video you'll be able to see where the interview starts for future episodes.
Nice one JD !
