Okay I've been riding Harley-Davidsons for 50 years I'll tell you the problem with the trike for those of us who were kids and had a tricycle if you remember we be flying down the road with it like a skateboard and go to turn it what happens the bike turns one way and flips same thing will happen to a three-wheel motorcycle rather it's a old 45 or these new trikes also a lot of times they'll go fast and try to turn to the left or right and the force of the bike moving forwards almost 800 lb that front wheel won't allow that bike to turn it will still go straight in skin right off the road I can tell you they're very very dangerous and I would not ride one

I worked in motorcycle design many years. As soon as I heard these things have ABS I knew it was the problem, and could have told the morons who came up with it. ABS measures the speed of all wheels, and adjusts for braking when it senses a difference. This junk clearly has stability control that kicks in if told by sensors even when not braking. Trikes are not stable with a single front wheel; that junk would be far more going backwards. The ABS + SC just kick in from the program. Harley-Davidsons are the worst motorcycles built, and the most dangerous. As a professional it has been infuriating how motorcycle fatalities dropped year to year for decades, until HD's primitive garbage inexplicably became popular. They have junk, seamed-steel frames made of waterpipe so poorly designed they wind up like a spring in turns, then pop back into place. Any driver has noticed how they wiggle just turning off the street, and they have most weight on the rear so they handle li ok e garbage. In just hard braking the rear wheel locks up, and you slide. The idiots who ride them thinks they stop faster then; HD clowns tell of countless crashes because "I had to lay it down", like they did it on purpose. There is so little rear suspension travel stutter bumps make the rear tire lock braking hard. Any modern, world-market 125 will blow one away, is far safer etc etc. Harley's ridiculous, primitive excuse for engineering has killed thousands upon thousands of riders in my long career, who would have never crashed for the same reasons on other bikes. Most HDs don't even have the wheels aligned, check front with a straight edge from each side of rear. Harley is going to have to pay a lot out, its really class-action level ineptitude. The contraption should have just had normal brakes. They'd have saved lives, and probably save a few grand in cost. If you think trikes are cool, push a childs as you turn the bars. You'll remember how easily they'll flop the other way; imagine that in a sharp curve, but please only imagine! Harley nuts are why backwards states don't have helmet laws, and death rates will be half what they are when the posers, the uninformed, and trusting a brand that has never made a single advancement in the sport, and has always just done the minimum ti keep suckers buying. Try riding a modern motorcycle, if someone's only ridden HDs any brand will blow your mind. Testing always helps form a legitimate opinion, try helmets first. Put one on, have a pal hit you on the head with a baseball bat. Then try it without the helmet, but be sure to do it in that order. Remember HDs were not designed to be better motorcycles. Just to be better than a Horse!

All the debates about ATCs (three wheelers) in the 80s, which were slow and mostly off road, only to have a rash of trashy trikes all over the highways... and two up at that. Hope none of these pieces of crap cross into my lane while i'm trying to get to work. Also, these trikes are mostly a pathetic workaround for old boomers who now have bad knees and can't hold their overweight pig of a bike upright at a red light anymore so they have it converted to a trike. Instead of just quitting when you get too old.

Sounds like the MoCo programmed the abs module for a 2 wheel scoot and it modulated only 2 of the wheels while one stayed locked up.

Riding trikes for 30 years, never had a issue. Those crashes reported are rider error, lack of maintenance, improper maintenance, inexperience..... not Harley's fault.

I ride a Harley Freewheeler Trike and have had ZERO handling or brake problems. Most problems with any machine or car or motorcycle is lack of atterntion to service. By the way my Tike now has over 57,000 trouble free miles......Suck it up morons!

Tri glides have always sucked . Very difficult to handle. Especially if your older . Have a mide of there own. Most people way over fill the rear tires.
