Again, I can't watch the games. What follows is my opinion. Oilers start out slow AGAIN. This time it's pitiful really. SJ scores, little less than 4 minutes later Hyman ties it up then a little over a minute later a stinker gets in and it's 2-1 SJ until LATE, LATE in the 3rd (18 seconds left) when Ekholm ties it up to send us to OT. Leon missed multiple shots or banged them off of posts including one empty netter he just couldn't hit. Time for target practice after practice boys (ALL OF YOU). Leon just 18 seconds into OT partially redeems himself by getting the game winner and the W for the Oilers. We made up a little ground on LA who lost in OT tonight but Vegas punted the Kraken 6 to 2 so no ground made up on them. Another game where they guys proved they don't hit almost at all, won't block a shot most of the time and don't seem to care until it's almost too late then they pull a hail Mary from God Knows Where to find a Win. The second goal by SJ I know Pickard wants back but he's stuck with it and so were we. Askarov was incredible in net for SJ and he will be a problem in the future. Take care all.
I cant download any of the shows using youtube premium when they're longer than 3 hours and that makes me sad.

Again, I can't watch the games. What follows is my opinion. Oilers start out slow and Stu lets one in just 1:07 into the game. Bruins add a late first period goal to make it 2-0 then the rest of the scoring is Edmonton. Hyman gets a goal in the 2nd and Connor ties it up with just 2:21 left in the 3rd to take us to OT where Ekholm gets the winner off of a nice pass by Nuge. Leon had his 7th consecutive multi-point night getting his 900th Career point in the process. Tight game that was sloppy in the first 20 by the Oilers then fine for the last 40. Take care all.

Arvo's back
Are you guys trying to start a rumour that J Woodcroft has been with younger men?
Since this interview the Elks have hired good coaches, signed Tre Ford, and is assembling a good team around him. 2025 is shaping up to be a good season for the Elks.
Edmonton needs a goalie
How does one enter the tournament
The Oilers played a strong puck possession game both teams would have been hyped for, until the game became a mess and that favoured Florida. It's hard to call out a player for taking a penalty in a game where so much was let go for both sides, but when you get penalized for an obvious infraction you probably shouldn't be taking it out on the referee. Bouchard makes great outlet passes and has a good shot, but he's also has enough bad nights to not get named to Team Canada. It wasn't a great goaltending duel, but Bob faced a lot more dangerous scoring chances and Skinner let in a lot of bad ones. The owner in Buffalo should fire himself over how badly they've overseen and interfered with the management of the Sabres. The Leafs have the best defence and goaltending tandem they've had in a very long time, so they're better, but I'm not sure that and Berube makes them Cup contenders. Their depth forwards are still pretty bad.

Again, I can't watch the games. What follows is my opinion. What a positively wretched game. Oh it was high scoring on both sides but the defensive collapse and the goalies inabilities to keep things out of the twine made it like a game of 5 year olds. Stats analysis: Leon had his 6th consecutive multipoint game. Hyman scored twice then took a slapshot to the face going off until he returned with a full face shield. Hyman got his 200th goal of his career in the 2nd period. Look, this one was ugly on many fronts. Too many penalties, a Bouch cough up less than 3 minutes into the game gives up a shortie, at one point the Oilers were up 4 to 2 and then boom, 3 in a row for Florida then Edmonton got one to tie it up before Verhaeghe got his 9th of the year and no more goals went in. Oilers had slightly more shots, almost half the hits, won 11 more faceoffs, got a Powerplay goal (so did Florida and they got a Shortie), everything else was pretty much a wash. Couldn't watch or listen to this one as I was at a Christmas Party. Just going from what I get afterwards. What I think is a team that didn't come to play facing one that decided to play. Take care all.
Florida D is terrible and will prevent a repeat but it takes two to tango....you looked like garbage ED
oilers defense is almost as bad as the NYR, Skinner is a disaster, no amount of scoring can save this team.
oilers suck. So does this show.
Grrrrrr Anyone else thinking this is a form of torture watching this Amazon feed? I've synched 880 ched
This idea that media guys don't aren't fans of the team... nonsense. I know you're not supposed to show it as media people, which is fine, but we can all see past that. Looking at you Gazzola, Gregor, Rishaug, et al.

@tomgonzola Bouchard hets interfered with 5 meters (15 feet +) from the puck, there is no way he should be "bracing" himself. Come on, that is a suspension everyday of the week!!

Again, I can't watch the games but I listened as much as I could. What follows is my opinion. Four players with multipoint nights including Leon who's had four in a row if memory serves. Leon, Connor Brown (listens for lightning, no, no smiting incoming), Nurse, and Nuge. Oilers were outshot. Lost more faceoffs than VGK. Took fewer penalties. Got one powerplay goal (but gave up a shortie). Were the victims of ref temporary blindness (and early onset dementia because the knee on Connor and Eichel playing Ekholm's back like a Xylophone). It was 5 nothing Oilers until 15:35 of the 2nd period. Then Vegas got 2 in a minute and scored the shortie one minute into the third. The Oilers answered the shortie 38 seconds later so that momentum got killed then the boys shut it down. Skinner was exceptional (other than the one incident behind his net where he tripped over air and gave Vegas a goal (the shortie actually). Stats wise the WTF one was 23 blocks for the Oilers to 11 for Vegas. We don't tend to block more. Oh they creamed us in hits 31 to 18 and won 10 more faceoffs than we did (38 to 28) and we had 5 takeaways to their 1 but honestly the numbers aren't really the story of the game. Vegas is a good team and there were large blocks of this game that they outplayed the Oilers and the only reason it wasn't closer (or we won at all) was Stuart Skinner (with a nod to Darnell Nurse and Ty Emberson). This is another game where all four lines scored. Vegas got a lot of chances including Eichel having a wide open net near the end of the game when Vegas pulled their goalie with over 3 minutes to play. We couldn't get an empty net goal even having multiple attempts at it. Play La Bamba Baby. A Win's a Win (and LA won tonight so we just keep pace with them (though gain a bit on Vegas)). Take care all.
We're here
nice job, cant hear sht
Bouchard is often oblivious to danger on the ice. We know this. Still, this is not his fault and Hartman deserves a game.

First, Minnesota is missing several good players due to injury. So are the Oilers. Next, Leon was all over this game. His assist on the Kapanen goal was a keep away for the ages (eventually against 2 players). One Goal and Three Assists on the night. He's got 4 Goals and 6 Assists over the last 4 games. Folks that's 2.5 points per game. He leads the league in Goals and Game Winning Goals right now. He didn't do it alone. Podkolzin multipoint night. McDavid multipoint night. Bouchard (who got hurt after a late hit INTO Pickard by Hartman who should face some suspensions for it but that's a Player Safety thing so who knows) had a multipoint night too. Nurse (who has been playing some of his best hockey of late) had 2 Primary Assists for a multipoint night. We got 2 of 4 on the PP. Let in 1 of 3 on the PK. Got a shortie on another of their opportunities. Derek Ryan scored a goal (his 1st of the year). Ty Emberson got into a really good fight (and when the Oilers fight they "tend" to win) and he is from the Minnesota area so lots of his family in attendance (and he got an Assist on the Shortie too). Stecher got his 2nd goal of the season. Brown got his 4th (and it was the shortie). All 4 lines scored. Many said the Oilers would be lucky to get 2 of 4 on the 4 game swing against Tampa Bay, Minnesota, Vegas, and Florida. We won the first two (in very different ways) but with both of those games showcasing that we DO have Defense (please let Bouch just have something minimal, loosing him would be a big hit). Two more games to go. LA lost tonight to the Devils but Vegas beat Winnipeg in OT. Canucks won, Flames lost, Seattle won so while we gain ground on LA we just keep pace with Vegas. We really need to beat them to close the gap somewhat. Take care all
Lol. Where are all the haters tonight 😢🤔
Whatever! He’s one of top ten defenceman in the nhl.
Wow, the audio mixing is on point! Really adds to the overall experience.
People forgot who the Predators were last season before they went on a tear after the big statement about not going on the U2 concert team activity because of how bad they were playing. The strong depth players they lost in the offseason (McDonagh, Sherwood, Glass, Zucker, Lankinen, Barrie, and Fabbro) have hurt them more than they thought they would, especially when they failed to address issues at centre and defence. You can't lose that many strong depth pieces, replace them with "some guys" and a few aging all stars, and then expect the same kind of strong team game the next season.
I listen to the podcast on RUclips but have a suggestion for Kass on how to skip commercials. You can pause the game for like 10 minutes right at the start and be a little behind the actual game, but then whenever a commercial happens you can just skip right through it. You'll watch h the game faster and it'll have better flow
The two biggest clown habs fans out there I have no clue why anyone would ever listen to these goofs

Again, I can't watch the games. What follows is my opinion. Stats wise this was a very close game with little difference between the teams line by line. About the only thing is the Oilers had 3 more shots on goal than the Lightning and one of those went in (Leon shot the puck and the rebound bounced in off of a Lightning player past Vasilevskiy. The Oilers proved they can play D and they did it for over a period holding on to a 2 to 1 lead to win the game. Skinner was solid especially in the final 3 minutes when Tampa Bay pulled their goalie for the extra man attacker and Nuge took a penalty. I can't really comment beyond this. I wish I could watch games again but until my surgery I can't and that keeps getting pushed back until now it's past Christmas so I just do the best I can and hope others find the numbers interesting. RUclips has been blocking these posts a lot probably due to length. Take care all.
Can't tell you,, how much i hate the "is 1 cup enough" discussion. Get one first...
Soup vending machines, why not
Button, love him, but early in the year he was adamant Oilers defence wasn’t good enough, even yelling it. There’s been no changes to the defensive core since and he’s now saying Oilers defence is excellent. 🤔
with 3 on 3 ot yes. Numbers are inflated
A diamond stick for 2000 p ? cauz this guy is a gem for sure
Love the addition of Chris to the show.
honestly i liked the suit segment but check audio volume
Afternoon Nasties @Joaquin Gage @Hernan Salas @Zach Kubusch and all the rest of the beauties @Edmonton Sports Talk! Guess I'm a pleasure delayer today, at work runnin around, great show, enjoy the weekend! Like #ConnorMcDavid
I love how everyone says nobody can shoot like nhl players. My slap shot is between 90 and 95 on average, and I play beer league and it's not even the hardest
The disrespect to the Flames, they are going to beat the Blue tonight.
They have Makar and a tonne of forward talent as well as other d-men who are outscoring him at the moment and will do just fine on the second unit. Bouchard is not needed with his lack of defensive abilities. Oilers haven't even been that great on the PP this season. What am I missing?
