Another hybrid bass, this one’s a mid 1990’s Epiphone Non Reverse Thunderbird these originally came with anemic pj style pickups which I changed for early 1980’s Peavey T-40 pickups with coil tap switches on each for a variety of tones, I also painted it Sherwood Green which was a Fender Custom colour.

I believe this is a somewhat rare pedal made by Japanese company Guyatone in the 1990’s, it has a 12AX7 tube in it and is paired here with a 1968 Gibson EB-2D with varying amounts of gain.

@@theDarrenbass Can you also tell me the pick ups? I might try to do this mod myself if it’s not to difficult. That’s the meanest rock and metal tone I’ve heard from any bass. It really is a Beauty.

I like the finger and pick sounds! The thumb slap on the low strings was peaking on the attacks….pickup height too close? Cool sounding bass and smooth playing.
