Roscommon Castle-South. A dramatic and imposing thirteenth Century Norman Castle.
Roscommon Castle is a dramatic and imposing 13th Century Norman Castle. It was built in 1269 by Robert de Ufford, Justiciciar of Ireland, on lands he had seized from the Augustinian Priory.
It was besieged by the Connacht King Aodh O’Connor in 1272 and eight years later it was again in the hands of the English garrison and fully restored. By 1340 the O’Connors regained possession of it and held it for two centuries until 1569 when it fell into the hands of Sir Henry Sidney, Lord Deputy.
In 1641 the Parliamentarian faction gained the Castle until Confederate Catholics, under Preston, captured it in 1645. It remained in Irish hands until 1652 when it was partially blown up by Cromwellian “Ir...

Newgrange's original function & design was a very robust, ancient, underground shelter (bunker) with a number of astronomical survival tools built into its construction. It was not designed to be a tomb. Presumably built for the Druid elite, the telepaths, the Tuatha Dé Danann, ancestors of the god An originating from Lebanon, Turkey & other parts of the Middle-East. Newgrange has been built & improved upon over thousands of years as communities knew it was an extremely important building project for survival & preservation of ancient knowledge. Stonehenge was never completed however was originally designed to have a large mound over it like Newgrange to serve the same purpose & this would have allowed for a large amount of space within it to shelter people, livestock, food etc in the event there was a natural catastrophe like the after effects of a celestial impact.

I don't really watch movies ect but the boys did just fine without the screens.. Malaysian airlines is under pressure from low cost airlines in the region and I think that is part of the issue.. what is more unnerving for me is the Boeing 737 max 8 and the reliability of the new Boeing planes in general.
