Money struggle - FS25 Day 7
We need to do something about our financial situation here on the farm! The money is draining so fast, I have to take a contract this episode just to not go into minus! Next episode will most likely be a contract sweep so we can get some cash!

We're continuing to explore Farming Simulator 25 and need to make a decision regarding the cows! Do we keep them and try to feed them with what little we have on the farm, or do we sell them and get a very tiny amount of money? We begin making some choices on what we should purchase and what we should lease so early on. We don't have much to spend so we better make ever last dollar count! Selling bales and thinking ahead - Road to $1 billion Day 69
Просмотров 61421 день назад
Welcome to episode 69 in the series Road to $1 billion! Today we're thinking ahead a little bit. We're discussing what we really should be doing and while I think we can all agree on that we need more fields, and bigger fields, the most money we've gotten so far is from the wool, fabric and cloth production. Not to set anything in stone, but I think moving forward it's best to work with the clo...

great video!
Thanks! :D
I'm doing sheep not cows on my playthrough so grass is all I need. As for the meadow in the pasture, it's glitched currently and doesn't regrow, even with seasons on. I found a workaround for now which was to remove the fence around the pasture, cultivate and seed it with grass before replacing the fence, and I even added a gate. That way the grass/meadow regrows and my sheep keep getting fed without adding any extra grass.
Oh wow that's a really neat trick! I might have to try it :)
loved watching the video, im also playing a legit file on elmkreek its very relaxing. btw are you playing on a hard difficulty economy?
Nice, thanks! Yes I’m playing this challenge on hard difficulty 😊
U only Need to Feed the cows Hay that wil give them 100% Health and silage is the Same but a lot more work U also dont need to have hay, silage and Grass behause total Mixed ration is the Mixed Food
Ah okay! In the next video I'm slowly learning this. Thanks for the clarification! :)
Best thing ever to see ODN doing fs in English? Yeah I think so!! Just an input, the reason for the ai doing the ups and down first is because irl you would do harvesting and such from the outside to the inside bc of the obvious reasons, but with plowing, seeding, fertilising, and so on you go from the inside to the outside so you don’t drive in the freshly worked soil. So kind of the same idea as with the harvesting🤔😊 Glada hejarop från Halmstad hörru💪
Oh that makes sense of course! Thanks for clearing that up! And thanks for watching! :D
FS25?
I'm playing FS25 as well, and it's on the channel. But this series started in FS22 and I'm still playing it there :)
Vafan de är Oden ju❤
In Niklas we trust our farmlands too! Starting up the game in about a week from now will enjoy your progress untill then and a long time forward 😁 Happy Farming from Västkusten!
Thanks for watching! :D Hope you'll enjoy the game when you can finally play it!
hi, i am happy to see that you catched up with the new ai-helper system. where does this series leads?? hopefully to a billion. 🙂
Me too! 😊 for the time being it’s just a let’s play. But I will start something of a challenge soon!
Your laughs 🤭😂 cute
Hehe thanks! 🤩
hi, just restart the "road to a billion" with fs 2025. 🙂
Maybe! I just want to play it for a bit before 😊
@@HeyaNick that´s totally fine. enjoy and learn. ^-^
Hope you are enjoying it as well! 😊
@@HeyaNick yeah, i do. in between
To early to do a bilionair series in fs25? Perhaps multi player bilionair series?
Yeah I want to try the game first but we might do a billion dollar challenge in the future!
Sunset farm is where pickle has decided to call home.
Oh where’s that?
@ that’s where you where. The huge sun flower farm with the mazes
Oh that makes sense! :D
If you hold your hire worker button, or that's what it is on controller, you have a menu pop up where you can change to steering assist or change the settings for the ai worker. Hope this helps!!
I found it! Thanks! 😊
hi, the harvesters acting weird, cause they know you played fs25 🙂 if you like the work from course play, you should unite it with autodrive. both mods are amazing.
I've heard about autodrive from others also, I might just have to check it out :)
Glad to see we are still keeping this going. 25 looks interesting. Like that you can plow snow and the new graphics Also that trailer you have with compartments can be used for multi storage in case ur harvesting dif fields. That’s how it’s suppose to work.
For the time being at least! We'll see how FS25 turns out in the long run :) Ah okay, makes sense! I just think it feels so easy to mix and match :P
nice
Thanks! :)
welcome to fs 25.
Hehe, I have been looking forward to it :) Are you playing?
@@HeyaNick yea, i play it. can´t wait to get mods. :-)
Nice, me too :)
U did. Start with a Silo in fs 22 Bit only when u created an new Game on Easy Mode
Really? I only remember two barns on Elm Creek. And way back you started with a hay loft, right, but no silo?
Yeey!
:D
"Welcome back to another episode of road to ..." Super excited for the new episodes of FS25
Heheh :D Me too, it's going to be fun to finally play it!
Hey man great video, keep up the work 👍😀
Thank you! :D
No farming 25??
I will absolutely play FS25 😊
Take and plant canola in your big grass field for the oil mill
But the grass! :D
You know you can do contracts bud do use there equipment. Makes it so ur doing more at once.
I know, but one of the rules I have with this challenge is not to do contracts with the borrowed machines. I think it would be too easy to just grind out all the contracts each month, which also is not that fun. Also I want to focus on our farm as much as possible :)
I suggest a little bit of a cheat :) :) When 25 comes out, look at the value of your assets, and give youreslf the money to get similar assets in FS25. Then you can carry on with the series, but on FS25 This is a great series.... The pace, the complexity, i love it.
Hehe it's nothing I'm planning on but we'll see. First off I just want to get a feel for FS25 and play it normally :)
Get more passive income.
I probably should but I bought the second most expensive wind turbine and I was a bit disappointed by the income from it to be honest!
Rolling the fields only gets you like 2,5% yeld increse, not wurth it IMO. On the other hand, if you plow the fields after harvest, you dont need to use any herbicide, and you get a yeld bonus for having the field plowed. I usually harvest, plow, seed+fert and then lime. about 99% score from that.
You can also setup your AI to do multi fields by drawing a line. It’s a real neat feature. You left a bail in the field 26:27
Really? I have to try that! Thanks :) Oh yeah, I have to pick that one up!
if you did not know, you can set your tractor and trailer to unload the combine and auto offload at the Oil factory when using Courseplay. But offloading manually is fun though
I think I've seen it somewhere but I don't know how to even begin setting it up! :o
hi, i think for the automatic unload you might need autodrive.
You can also have a bailer attached to your sweeper so you can do it all at once.
@@vansrcworld310 Don't you need a mod for that? to be able to connect the baler to the mower?
@@cyclidin2758 Ah that makes sense
I have watched every episode so far. I am being watching trying to catch up. I love ur videos man. I laugh right along side you.
That's so nice to hear, thank you! Good luck with the challenge! :D
U should buy a bale barn
I know, I know! It's not even that expensive! I just keep putting it off but I will get one! :)
Hello there. nice one, like always. the sheep change was cool. go for the second taylorshop. otherwise you are loosing money. cloth makes more money then fabric. 🙂
Thanks! Okay I'll do that! :D
Im late to the show but the reason 5 sheep are young is because you only put 60 in each pen 😬 if I remember right that was the max per purchase.
Oh! Is that why! I've been wondering for some time now. Thanks! :)
I think hold out on spending till planting season, then see if there are any fields with barley or canola on them and buy those. If not then I’d say try to buy an empty field you could plant on or a field with high profiting crops you could sell immediately. Just my thoughts! Then a new tractor would be almost required!
I agree! I think that's a good idea! Yes more tractors also :D
Maaan you know headlands and islands exist. Use those for harvest courses. Also the options to select direction and starting position. Sorry i gotta say somthing just stresses me out knowing the potential of the mod 😅 all good though love the vids
Headlands yes but I've never really tried island other than just when I started. What is islands good for? I generally just go with up and down :P
@@HeyaNick islands makes it so the combine cuts into the field and keeps the auger on the harvested side so it's available to unload. Should be able to set it to 4+ rounds, then it will do another cut through to start a new "island". That is how most farmers do it in real life so they can unload on the move. Hope that makes sense
Oh that makes total sense! I’ll try it thanks 😊
Im sure as i catch up on the series you figure courseplay out haha. Honestly after i figured out how to really use it, i wish i could pay them for how much it adds to thd game. I always expand my fields with the plow and it would be to frustrating to work without coursplay. You can automate so much once you learn the tricks.
Well I haven't played around with it too much so I guess there are still stuff I can learn. It seems like a very powerful tool! :)
Use Precision Farming mod, it helps you get more yield with minimum resources/
I know im late to the show, but just thought id say im enjoying the content! Enjoy the editing style, never just doing one thing the whole video. Beggining of any fs world can always be grindy. Looking forward to the rest of the series
Hey! Glad you enjoy it! No worries being late, there’s plenty of videos to catch up on and I’ll be doing more series in the future of course 😊 Thanks for watching!
Nice
Thanks :D
TBH you have plenty of equipment now and we don't need any more. cuz what we have is so manageable. we need to buy land and bigger fields. also, I don't know whether this works but try to plant all lands you have with grass while you do not have plants in them after harvesting as they are free for a few months. those give big money as bales. good luck and looking forward
I think you're right, we do need more fields! It's just fun getting new machines :D Oh that's a really good idea! But if we'd be planting between every harvest we would definitely have to get another seeder!
If the weeds are Big and you spray them i still get 10% less yield Bonus. The Other 15% were that u didn‘t lime
Oh wow! Okay I have to remember to spray right after sowing and I have to lime. Thanks! :D
Sorry to say this but same with what i said to Formal Pickle, if you don't change your ways, this challenge will be a fail. The laziness is amazing! A billion target from a lazy farmer is impossible. But goodluck.. ill keep watching...😂
Well a fail is a learning experience :D Do you have any tips on what I could do to boost the income without modding it? Not sure what you mean by lazy though :P
Get the upgrade mod for spinnery and tailor shop so you don't have to sell raw product. Upgrading all three facilities will yield more profit as well. But its up to you if u will do it or not.
I'd like to stay away from stuff that mods the income too much, which arguably makes the challenge take a lot longer so I see where you're coming from :)
hi, nice one, again. you should have bought the jcb, it is a fast tractor and a big one too. much horses. also you pay now for the water, so less profit from the strawberrys. :-)
Thanks! Yeah I know but dang it just came at a weird time! But I need to catch a good tractor soon I feel like. Yeah the water cost for the strawberries is okay. I think we're still making money :D
Dear dairy It's been 61 days. We have managed to make some progress but it's hard work. I don't believe we can make 1 billion in the next 5 weeks. I don't believe anyone can. 😂😂 Absolutely do 2 headlands for moving. Anything really. For the baler missing grass, i think thats because the swath is just so wide. And the like resolution of the placement offsets it slightly so its more or less nothing you can do. Probly its like max 1 bale missed on that field anyway. Small fix ups like that don't pay off at all.
Haha that's exactly how I feel when I'm playing this challenge! Well we're going to see how far we can come at least :D Okay I'll try headlands, But I guess I'd want to to those last so the baler doesn't drop a ton of bales around the field and then gets blocked when it goes up and down. Yeah those small patches of grass that we're missing will just have to be collateral :P
@@HeyaNick you can make the mower with headland first drive and save the course and then set the baler going from waypoint starting from the up and down rows. It does work both from headbands too if you collect the headland bales before they start going up and down.
Ah of course! I didn't even think of that. Thanks :D
With every stage of weed growth, you will loose 5% yield, ie, 15% with the final weed stage and the herbicide will only give you back 5% yield. So it is better to spray herbicide right after sowing or at the first stage of weed.
Oh is that how it works? Oh man then getting a weeder to do the job is better than doing it with herbicide right? Or won't the weeds grow at all of I spray herbicide right after sowing?
Loving this series! One piece of advice is that the oil mill actually will need 115,200 liters of canola for one year of cycles. This is because it says 4,800 cycles a month. Each cycle is 2 liters of canola. So you're really going through 9,600 liters of canola a month. And then 12 months of that, is 115,200 liters. Hope this helps! Keep up the great work!
Thanks! Oh dang have I miscounted that bad? Well I guess we need those canola fields quick! :D
If you increase the horsepower in the combine it’ll handle the header just fine. Also there’s a mod in mod hub where you put down a silo and it will ferment straw into silage. Then the straw will be worth getting!
Oh yeah of course! I’ll have to do that, thanks! 😊
Is that a mod that you use to stack pallets from oil mill? My mill just place everything on the floor. If the area is full, no more pallets will be spawned.
That’s how it should work in the base game. I have universal auto load mod but that’s only for loading and unloading ok pallets 😊
@@HeyaNick Mine does not work like that. I don't know why. All this time I thought that was a mod.
From how you’re describing it, sounds like it’s working like it should! Pallets get placed in the product area outside of the production facility and if it’s full no more pallets spawn there until the pallets are removed.
