    The mistake with the 1436 so many people make that you didnt make is decking the entire boat forcing everyone to stand a foot above the stock deck, thats very tippy in chop, You did the right thing keeping a stock area up front in case it gets a little choppy. I added a bike seat up front so its pretty stable as long as someone else doesnt get frisky in the back lol!😂

      They literally just lift out once you remove the bungees from the ribs. There's nothing else holding them down. On the middle deck, there is also a wiring harness to disconnect, but otherwise, it's that simple.

One thing I did was get a 42" hand controlled trolling motor so when I am standing on the bow and fishing I don't have to bend over. The trolling motor is right there. I even prefer this set up to a foot controlled trolling motor.

    How did you build it? I just purchased my first boat it’s a Fish Master 1232, it was decked out already, it has a custom cut board that sits on the front deck and front seat made to be a walking deck with a extended stool in the middle but I’m uncomfortable sitting there🫣 controlling the trolling motor.. I kind want to use what’s there already just cut it shorter and buy another clamp on seat for the front row seat so I’m confident, I just need enough front deck for the bow mounted trolling motor to sit on..

    When you say big water what size lakes are you referring too as in acres

    • @renaissanceguy148
      @renaissanceguy148 2 года назад

      It's not so much about the total size of the body of water as much as it's about the total distance from one shore to the other. For example, I've had my boat on a lake that has an area of 68 square miles; if I'm driving across the main part of the lake, it's sketchy because the waves are taller than the side of my boat. But if I'm in a wind-protected cove, then all is well.

    More weight will make it more stable?

    • @renaissanceguy148

      The problem with adding weight is that it's already a shallow boat, so adding weight puts the rails even closer to the water...

      The front deck has been suitable for how I use the boat. If I wanted to make it 100% a fishing boat, then I agree with you: I would need to lengthen my front deck for a trolling motor and seat. But as it is, it's plenty big for me to stand on it and cast and store life jackets underneath.

      Hmmm...I don't remember the angles I used for the side supports. I might be able to find the answer with a bevel gauge. And I don't understand the second question...are you asking about where they're attached to the wall or to the roof?

  • @bwilkins
    @bwilkins 2 года назад

    ~16° is an awful angle to mount the solar to, isn't it?

    • @renaissanceguy148
      @renaissanceguy148 2 года назад

      It's not an ideal angle for panels that are mounted directly to the roof. But I have three panels on an angled stand as well as one panel mounted directly. So the three are close to an ideal angle, while the one is a little shallow. But also, the awning is about 8' at it's highest point, and if I angled it to much, I'd have to duck to get under the front of it.
