This part is mentioned in Geddy Lee's book "My Effin' Life".
If I had a Banjo you would know If I had a Banjo😊
You BEEN PRACTICING WITH OUT ME, I GOT THE OTHER CHORDS,, FAT SUIT !
At one point in this film they drop acid and Lifeson does an electric guitar freak out 😂
Charlie was a jazz drummer, first and foremost, who played rock and roll, and it showed in his relaxed playing style. It was great to see him and Neil together. RIP to both of them.
At first, Neil didn’t even recognize Charlie. He said so himself.
A drumroll, please, for the drummer bros. May they rest in peace.
When I first heard this I thought the same as geddy, this sounds terrible ....I can now say it is my favorite Rush album.....there is something magical about a recording when you can say that. You have to train your ears through several listenings and the magic will happen.
I had no idea he could play Appalachian style guitar so good.
And just like that the kid ran out of gas.... lol
Rember watching this as a youngster loved when theyre spliiting up the hash
Hello
What a dork. This guy's going nowhere.
That’s my dearly-beloved boys right there! So forever proud of them, and of everything they’ve ever accomplished! 🤘🏻♥️
It's CHARLIE Watts.
Love this song, old footage Jam session and dancing. Alex is such a goofball.
Ray really look like Fat Alex from the Time Machine spoofs lolololololz
I kept expecting Alex Lifeson to go beside him and start Shredding his guitar and someone handing Geddy his bass guitar and putting laser lights to make it all complete. No..just kidding. He did an amazing job.
Better than some of Rush’s early 80’s videos…Distant Early Warning with the kid riding the missle
Never been prouder
Knell look at Terry ,tell he managed Van Halen lol
announcer still cant say neils last name right...........grrrrr
Bizarre to hear songs from Signals in there.
Imagine how much money I coulda made marketing the bong water as a souvenir! 🤑🤑🤑
Charly Watts could swing and had a deep pocket. RIP LEGEND
So many things fell into place for rush.. but they’re responsible for their success. They never compromised.. they earned this on their own.
He'd sound good even if he played a Kleenex box with rubber bands for strings.
These 2 were like Van Gogh and Picasso. Both are masters and both are one-off’s that can be mimicked but never duplicated. I cannot imagine either band without these drummers at the helm. Try to imagine Honky Tonk Women, Can’t you hear me Knocking or Rip this Joint being played by Ginger Baker. Baker is an amazing drummer but the groove necessary to bring these Stones’ classics to life was the magic of Charlie Watts. Same for any Rush classic. Ringo is another example of the right drummer in the right band. There is magic when certain musicians find each other-it is alchemy and cannot be explained by mere mortals
If Ben Orr and Meat Loaf had a kid.
AHY SE ENCONTRABA LA CASA DE RODRIGO DE LA CUADRA QUE FUE DESTRUIDA POR COMPLETO EN EL INCENDIO QUE PARTIO EN EL FUNDI MONTEALEGRE POR CULPA DE UN HUEVA
Kneel before Peart
Neil probably had to play a lot of stones growing up the the late 60's, I wonder if he ever met Ringo.
“SARS”?
Yes
Jacobs Ladder? Did I miss something? Did they confuse Countdown with Jacobs Ladder?
You gotta start some where! RUSH WORLDS GREATEST 3 PIECE ORCHESTRA🥁🎸🎙🎼🎷
Loved Alex’s playing since the first Rush album. Lots of muscle and melody. Beautiful power playing. Thanks Alex for providing such great guitar for the sound track of my life!
Beauty way to go eh Thanks Geddy
Both Neil and Charley played in big jazz bands as a "hobby" outside of their home bands. It would be quite the honor for Charley Watts to search you down at a concert just to say hello.

That kud in the hat was annoying
I BELIEVE THERE IS A FUTURE FOR THAT ALEX LIFESON ,WAITIN FOR A GEDDY UP AND GO GIGGITY
The Stones are down a Drummer and bass player. The Beatles are down two guitarists....Ya think MAYBE.....?
Should have been used on Caress of Steel
Love Rush.I have to say this though by the looks of the picture that heads up the post it looks like a muppet is being interviewed.Geddy would love this if he sees this reply here.Funny stuff eh?
I was never a Rush fan but as I've gotten older I appreciate how great they were.
Rush "heavy metal". They would love that.
I think it's the other way around. Neal Peart met his hero. Also, as good as Neal Peart was the best album by far that Rush ever made had John Rutsey on drums.
Nop
which one is he? LOL doing the willie dance?
Weird man . . . Weird . . .
My fav guitarist of all time.
