Keep the fish near the water if you’re going to release them. Dragging a fish up the bank like that js a sure way to give a fish a death warrant.

How are the rivers going up in Hawkes Bay Area. I know a lot of rivers got smashed but not sure how they are fishing a couple of years after.

Good training for the 'coast to coast', Great fish, and a good days outing. Fished these streams in the Sixties but there were few fish to be had in those days. Not everything gets worse! Regards from Gisborne.
