Main Street Lawn Care
США
Добавлен 15 май 2009
I have many interest and have plans to make a variety of videos. I mostly focus on my lawn care business. Mowing, weedeating, and pressure washing. I also like to make videos of our recently obtained sawmill. We also do car detailing, so maybe some of that in the near future.
I have a big interest in my community, and like to help out where I can. I would love to get to a point where I could meet local business owners and see what they do behind the scenes to make their business' thrive.

We do make more impact than we realize. Both positive and negative. Kindnes...

More Junkyard Mowers, Murray pulling Swisher finish mower where it never should have been.
Просмотров 1 тыс.2 года назад
Hi friends. I stopped by to see an old friend of mine that runs a junkyard. He had an old Murray mower with no deck that did not run. He also had a 44in Swisher pull behind finish mower that was a total mess. He let me have them. I got them running. I know a finish mower has no business being put into the stuff I put this one into. Just having a little fun.

Abandoned pto sawmill working again with Detroit 3-71 diesel.
Просмотров 56 тыс.2 года назад
We found an old Utilizer 3 point hitch sawmill designed to run on tractor pto. It was in a field grown over with weeds and vines, and in pieces. We managed to find the owner who said he was willing to part with it. After a few weeks of tinkering around with it we have it running again. We made it a stationary diesel powered mill. Part 2 is out now, with better cameras and much less shaking rucl...
It ran when I parked it. Junkyard find. (lawn mower. stuck valve and dirty carburetor)

We have all heard it a thousand times. "It ran when I parked it" Today we will have a look at a small engine that fits that sort of scenario. If it truly ran and just hasn't been started in a while, the methods in this video will fix 90% of the mowers out there.

thanks for video i have a utilizer mill please any pictures or anything would be greatly app i just bought it
Its a fun little mill. What kind of pictures would you like?
Nice stack of boards and very nice mill.
Excellent narrative. Thanks
I used to own that mill I think, about 15 years ago or so.
I think i used to own that mill, where did you buy it ?
If you are at Bluff Mountain in Hot Springs NC, you probably did. I'm in Mars Hill. But I didn't buy it. It was rusting away at someone's place so we asked about taking it and setting getting it working. The rest is history.
10/10 video
That mahindra ain’t playing,, we have 4 of them an they work all day n this hot Mississippi heat ,, dam good tractors
I agree. I love the Mahindra much more than the kioti we have.
I love watching videos i love old saw miles
Thank so much for watching
What take you so long
She is cutting straight and laying down a pretty pattern. now all you need to do is put a log way bigger than the mill is made for and you will be a stupid youtube Sawer like a lot of other channels.
Lol. I have noticed that myself. I guess you gotta see what it can do?
great work, friend, where are you from? Greetings from me in Indonesia
North Carolina in the USA. Thanks for watching. Hope you enjoyed.
What a delightful old girl... Thankyou for sharing.
My Pleasure. Thanks for watching. We are going to make some more videos, but we have had some rough weather lately.
I have a woodmizer LT 40 band-saw. And I can watch a Circular all the time
I used to have a lt35 mill, and a lt10. I liked them a lot. I would like to try out one of the lx25 they have now.
Videos like this sure cast me back 65 years or so. In 1944 Dad built a sawmill and did a lot of custom milling. It was a belt drive powered by his Massey Harris 55 gas for a few years then a 1951 John Deere R Diesel. The mill had a blower to move the sawdust and to this day I can hear the sound of the blade and the blower. He was gone a lot in the winter because some of the work was often too far away to commute, but he let me go with him on the more local jobs when I got a bit older; like 10 or 12. I'd work my butt off helping to stack the lumber or rolling the logs off the skidway to the carraige.
Precious memories for sure.
Great video sharing
Thanks so much
Just awesome!! Love that stuff!! Most people don't realize it, but machinery and work that you are using/doing - was a hugh part in building this great country of ours! That fact can not be disputed. Great grandfather's and grandfathers on both sides of my family were loggers, sawyers and lumber graders from Ohio, thru VA, NC to TN in GSNP - cutting virgin timber the whole way!!
Very cool about your family. My family have been loggers as well, and I love to see this old stuff working again after so long being dormant.
If you don’t mind me asking how big is the sawblades and what do you have as far as horsepower thanks
Detroit 3-71 is 113HP. The blade is 38 inches.
Good sawyer and good long lumber though
Plus alazy camera person too
You got a lazy tail sawuer
I wish these old mill videos would show more of what runs the thing..the drive for carriage, what makes the log go back and forth.most videos just show the saw. I won't to see what makes the saw turn and log too
I can do that for you.
Little Stihl did not make it I am sad to say. She fought very hard, but in the end she was just too weak to survive. She was less than half the size of her sisters and vets just couldn't help her. Her sisters Echo, and Cotton are doing well. R.I.P. Stihl. I miss you very much.
Great video. Sawmill seems to be cutting well
Thank you. it is cutting quite well. We have had a few family issues lately, but we are going to be making more videos very soon.
Nice job on restoration! That 3-71 running like a champ
Thanks. Its hard to kill them old Detroits.
you're definitely right...that mower really had no business being in that field but it sure seemed to do a good job!!! Great bit of video!!!
Thank you so much. glad you enjoyed the video. Some times its just fun to push stuff to its limits and beyond to see what its capable of.
Old Yankee saw ,once saw a holder fly out and hit my old man in the back of his hand ,made a right mess
I guarantee it
Alt aber gut ! 👍 Habe mir es selbst Gebaut aber klein bis max 26cm 🟤 Mit Kreissäge geht ! Und kann sogar Runde Balken machen ❗ ( Mini Sägewerk ) 👍💪
That sounds pretty neat. I would like to see that.
@@zuleamen Das gibt es Live in Austria ! Eigenbau es gibt auch ein Video (Mini Sägewerk) L. G. Danke ! 🤠
A slimy dirty ramp can be very dangerous. I fell on one and broke my femur, serious stuff. Please keep your ramp clean🤗
I hate that happened to you. I'm glad I noticed this one before something like that happened to the person living there.
Interesting machine, almost looks like a combination between a traditional Frick mill and a bench rack system. Might consider a poly carbonate shield between the blade/operator but you would have to design something that wouldn't encumber the operator. Met 2 different guys that have been hurt on them, one by flying shrapnel. Best Regards
They can be dangerous for sure. Standing off center of the blade greatly reduces the risk of flying bits.
head rig mills are dangerous any way
To dangous to work a mill with camera in ur way
No saw dust hitting ur camera
How long was that cant
12 foot
Good to see put to use, not rusting away.
Yeah. I'm very happy to see it running. We will be doing some more with it soon. Just trying to wrap up a few projects before winter hits us hard.
To cool love it
Thank you. Glad you enjoyed it.
Sweet set up !
Thanks!
We're in the Blue Ridge Tarheel hills if NC too so we're neighbors!
Very cool. Small world we live in.
@@zuleamen Smaller all the time! Blessings 2 yall!
@@lewiemcneely9143 To you as well.
Good boards but you've got to have good logs for good boards. I like the log turner too (the one without the peavey but they're not so bad either). Blessings
I like to say they call them cant hooks because if you can't turn it. They can't either. lol
@@zuleamen The cant hooks here had a shorter handle and a toothed end on the handle. Couldn't get the bite a peavy could but a little filing on the peavy hook helped a lot too.
Nice piece of property perfect if you like yard work a little bit of everything mowing trimming branches to cut bushes to trim trees to cut lol
Something for everyone for sure.
I love it when people look around, see something that needs doing and move to fix it. This was a great kindness. Nice work.
Thank you so much. We do what we can.
What R P M are you running that detroit?
The saw is turning at 720, engine at 1800.
Well done , perfect little power source , bet that mill never ran so good even when it was new
Thank you.
Hearing protection? Huh? Do you have hearing protection? That Detroit and saw are awful loud..
Lol. hearing protection is important. but they are not really all that loud. you can talk at a normal volume while its running.
@@zuleamen I'd rather hear if anything started to go haywire and you can't do that all muffled down.
@@lewiemcneely9143 very true
I’ve got a Swisher 44” finish mower just like that. Mines about 8 years old. Cutting thick grass like that will eat some belts. I replaced both of the spindles twice and the blades three times. I can tell by the squeal that yours need to be replaced to. Excellent find though.
The bearings were in rough, rusty shape. They have been replaced now.
@@zuleamen Mine was a used machine I got for free from a friend. It had been sitting out under an oak tree. It was in rough shape but I got it running again. The height adjustment is broken, the threads are all knurled up.

hi there nice log ,nice sawing good show joh
Glad you enjoyed it
Nice

I have to tell ya, watching an old circular sawmill walking the dog through a log never gets old.
There is something about it that never gets old.
Like your setup brother. Can't believe someone abandoned that baby. I'm in the process of reviving and upgrading my old belsaw. Installing a hydraulic motor to run the carriage spool. Belts aren't smooooth. Is that an excavator in the background? Have a 750jd myself.
That sounds like a cool project. Yes the excavator is a Yanmar zero clearance.
