Side note I’ve also tested another way for ensuring the end date updates through yesterday or today. In this approach, you can use any date field from fact or dim table and use the “in the last” relative date approach at the page or report level. Combine it with a “is on or after” a specified date if you don’t want anything related to the start date to change in your report.

Note the third party visual "Image Pro by Cloudscope" indicates that a license is required, but once I publish to the Service it seems to work fine without one. This allows for much more customization around the image sizing, whereas the table or matrix is limited in this way.

A note on solution # 3 (DAX measure): The below DAX formula will return the accurate results within the rows of a matrix or table, while displaying blank cells for the ORDERNUMBER and ORDERLINENUMBER results.
