Why she is in a cage like this because it’s much safer to transport your dog like this. Second of all I own 6 of these dogs. Not sure if you know anything about this specific breed but let’s say they are not known for being nice and social towards other dogs. Then third of all my dogs are working dogs and they get into their working drive when in the car. So again it’s safer for them to be in their kennel. The dog in this specific video is asking for her breakfast. This dog is just a bit different in her communication then the other 5 I own. So I always have a lot of fun with her because she will really make sure you know what she means. If you’re only interested in fat dogs laying on a couch doing nothing because we people think that’s welfare for a dog, well then your definitely on the wrong page. All six my dogs are allowed to run and do sports so all their needs are fulfilled. Don’t really think this dog wants to get a new loving family as she already has someone doing everything for her.

I know people who own Staffordshire bull terriërs and cats. So I think it sure is possible if raised together. But I always recommend to be careful. So even if they are great together I would never leave them alone unsupervised and always make sure the cat has places to go to where the dog can’t reach the cat.

I use a lunging whip that normally is used for lunging horses. I put a plastic back on the end and you have a perfect flirtpole.

Are you looking for a working/sports bred staffordshire bull terriër ? Or more a showline type of dog?

@sporting-sbt my experience of dog breeds is work lines breed for health and athletic abilities in order to work. Rather than show line. So for that reason work/sport

I’m not trying to exhaust them with walking and I’m not trying to get them more obedient. That’s just our normal exercise schedule. Their bodies need rest so I can’t work them 7 days a week. Walking them is just to get them out and make sure they get their exercise every day. All the dogs are trained in mantrailing once a week, get to do some sports each week and besides that they go out to the forest. That’s the schedule for my working dogs and they like it. And as important as getting them out and exercise them is the rest for their bodies. This way they stay fit and happy in their heads but also in their bodies.

Ofcourse weight has a lot of influence aswell. But still I think there are way to many staffords that are getting way to flat in the face. So yes a healthy weight is very important but healthy breeding so no extreme short muzzles is very important aswell. :)

And yes I see overweighted dogs all the time in the clinic. It a huge problem. But people just don’t seem to see it.

Thank you and welcome on my channel! Yep, I can’t imagine my life without my staffords. I’ve worked with a lot of breeds but never found a breed that fits me better.

@@shaunnit by some it works that way. But with mine they will just grab and try to kill eachother. It’s not worth the risk for me. And I don’t want to be hyper alert all the time when I have my dogs out of their kennels. I own 8 dogs so they always will be able to interact with other dogs but they would do fine without contact with other dogs.

Because good breeders don't breed a certain collor I think.

nope not really. The dog in this video can walk without pulling. But it's not something I really focus on. I walk them mostly in the forest and I don't need them to walk beside me.

yeah very different type then the other dogs I own.

If he grows up nicely, is healthy and works good then I will use him in my breeding plan. :)
