You can see the pink locking device without taking the panel off. Look thru the column seal under the steering wheel by tilting the wheel up. Use your finger to start the motion then move it before shifting. Your video did help me find the location tho thank you. Yes I do have a long finger.

mike, check the harness connections at the bottom of the fuse box. it sounds like a system wide short through the truck.

I have Whelen mirror strobes on my car and always preferred strobes over LEDS. Nice light bars if we were allowed to have them I would make you a offer. We can only have our lights on when we are on the scene.

Quite bitchin about 53 blocks just drive the trucks, there are good and bad ones. You have a lot better chance than a 6.0 blowing up

53 block=worst diesel engine ever made. It may already be cracked and you not know it, they usually dont crack until after some heavy towing. As long as you keep it stock and dont mod it up, when it does crack you can take to a dealership and they will replace it for free.
