2:16 Words can't quite describe the warmth that gives me. 90's tech/internet was something else man
You got it to work with luigiblood's satellaview emulator?
The Broadcast Station is litteraly the e Shop for the SNES
2:16 St. Giga Logo
2:39 huh?
fun fact: mario paint was actually from sattellaview. edit: we never know
Ciao ti ricordi di me?
Ciao! Sinceramente no 😅
@@andreaprogamer303 no, mi spiace, li ho eliminati tutti tempo fa
It would be good if there were alternative servers (satellite broadcast) so it could be used on real hardware
how did you get this to work. Wasn't the satellaview network taken down???
Was this actually recorded in 2019? And ir was still working the downloads and every thing?
How did you download Satellaview games in 2019 ?
The EarthBound SatellaView port looks great
Do you have the translation?
Soon... Wiil released molang and pyu pyu youtuber in 2023
What an amazing download animation! I miss that 90s soul.
How are you playing in English?
@Sap squad How to get broadcast stn. open and how to download?
“I wonder if my kimono looks great on me.❤️” WHAT THE HECK
this is gonna be the biggest stretch, but does anyone know what the building is on the st. giga screen at 2:18?
@shannon bsx do u know which one? they moved buildings in 2001 apparently. it doesn't look much like the one on the wiki... maybe it's broadcasting headquarters?? not sure. bs5 might stand for broadcast station 5, but idk why they'd use english/latin alphabet if it's in japan
How
i love this, so charming
In the surfing scene, I was gonna say that sharks aren't that bloodthirsty to begin with, given that they sometimes need to smell blood to begin going haywire, but no, sharks can't kiss people either in real life; they're just clueless.
2:50 that music kicks in
Metaverse in 1995
Do you mean "Persona 5 Metaverse" or "Facebook Metaverse"?
Facebook metaverse, but this is a billion times better than that crap
27 years later, the Town still doesn't have it's name back.
28 oof
@@th3r1ans@th3r1ans The lore behind the town was actually covered in a two part Satellaview game series called Satellawalker that starred the Satellaview mascots Sateupo and Terebo. It unfortunately hasn't been translated yet...
This hits me different
I find it cool that there's a fan translation of the BS-X software!
AFTER BROADCASTING VIA SATELLITE ENDED
It's hard to believe they were capable of achieving something like this with old hardware. Though it's process was probably pretty simple and straightforward, it was also very technically advanced for its time I bet.
How do you connect to a signal and buy items like those?
I think Is a emulation of the satellaview system
@@riccardooro903 I forgot how to do it, but I figured how to access them by using BSNES special with bios for it.
This add on was so freaking cool and ahead of it's time. It was pretty much the founding father of game streaming. I'm so jealous to all of the japanese gamers in the mid to late 90's that got to experience this wonderful world of BS Zelda, digital magazines, free game trials and all. It took a hell of a lot of trial and error to get this to work, you needed a satellite dish atop your house, (Which many people in Japan don't have since it's mostly apartments and dorms due to dense population) a kit from St. Giga to communicate with it, an SFC, the Satellaview, and the BS-X cartridge. But boy was it worth the money and trouble from what i've heard... If only I was rich, living in Japan in the 90's, and growing up on SNES
pretty sure sega did this way earlier
I cant imagine a lot of japanese gamers got to experience this like at all. The physical addon was expensive, pretty sure there was a monthly fee to use it, you already mentioned the need for a satellite, broadcasting things at specific times only for like 2 hours is stupid, and for what, texture packs for already released games? Most changes were only visual and the things in game that were different were pretty minimal. In my opinion even if I lived in japan in the 90s and had the money it seems like a raw deal and a waste of time.
@@nore5888What Sega did was P2P online gaming, later Sega Channel came out but the games were saved in RAM, which Satellaview solved
@@mystraunt2705Satellaview had many exclusive games that have been recovered because many were saved on the cartridge
@@nore5888 Sega had the "Sega Game Library" which worked over phone lines and there was also the Sega Channel that worked over cable TV but there wasn't anything equivalent to Satellaview's Sound Link capabilities.
サテラビューって外国でも知られてるのか
Yes
But the ultimate question remains, could you also sent high scores of certain games to share it with other sattlelaview users via a scoreboard??? It would be interesting to know if you cannot only recieve data but also sent data trough the sattlelaview to share it with the rest or with nintendo,
Not via the console, it’s like TV with a satellite, you receive but you can’t send
The Satellaview didn't have a public leaderboard, but you could send in your high scores to Nintendo and receive prizes depending on how you did.
@@Taneuma_563 well i did a search trough google and as it turns out while it is true that onlile multiplayer is impossible on the sattlelavie due the one way nature of radio connection, however it was possible to send limited data back at certain times back trough the radio connection by alternating between recieving and sending data so let’s say that if on 16:00 till 18: AM it broadcasted data then during that period you couldn’t send data BUT after 18:00 AM till let’s say 20:00 AM you cound send limited data back to the sattlelaview service due the free bandwide availibility for it ,it’s like walkie talkie wich works in such a way lije this in wich the person has to wait to speak after the other person has spoken before it is his turn😁
i really enjoy how creative the menu is, i've never seen a menu like that before! the whole system looks and sounds like an Earthbound game, very neat!!
They had to have taken ideas from this to make the wii menue
Tbh yeah,it looks like a mix of Earthbound's realistic looking settings and Final Fantasy inspired sprites
Satellabound
even youtube thinks it's a mother (japanese name of earthbound) game
I thought sound didn't work?
HOW?!?!?!?!? The service shut down years ago
@warriorDB3 You have to be connected to the service to use it
@warriorDB3 That's what you think. BSX required you to connect to a service
@warriorDB3 He may be using a mod that brings back the BSX server. Like wiimifi
How to download them?
I don’t know who composed the music but I would really like to meet her.
Seems similar to the Mother 2 composer!!
Her? Lol
she has a penis

So, is this a specific date rom or is someone running a server for emulators?
Basically it's an hack for the rom, where you can boot and download games
