Model building since I was a wee lad, put it down years ago and picked it back up, it`s all about the fun, so I figured I`v been watching and listening to all these great builders here on You Tube and liked the fact that they had a real friendly community and basically were learning from each other with all their tricks right on the table for everyone to see, so I figured I`d give it a go, hope ya like my videos, and thanks for watching,,,,,

your dad was Darryl Starbird,, when I read your first reply it didn't click because of your name but Holy shit,,(no offense) but I'm shocked,, I love his work I've seen every car he's done and was amazed by them as a kid,,,did you know George Barris to ?

To tell the truth I really don't remember,,,, I know I messed with it for an hour just to get a exact minute out of it,,,, but I will say it doesn't keep the right time for very long,,, thanks for checkin it out !!!

did you have a problem with the front glass having a gap when its fitted with the body?
I had problems with that whole kit,,, nothing fit !!
what modifications did you to make the kit fit?
I know I used body filler for real cars and sanded my fingers to the bones ,, this kit has to be the worst kit I've ever done and really never glued the body or bed to the frame and just glued the doors on ,,, a real hack job,,, but after the final video I spent a little more time to make it just look pretty ,, I wouldn`t recommend this kit to anyone besides someone you don't like, lol,, all I can say is be patient and hide any hammers in your shop !!!

How come when I turn the switch counter-clockwise it doesn't work.
maybe a gear on backwards or the string might be wrapped the wrong direction ,, when I first turned mine I thought I was gonna brake it but then it snapped into place ,, Thanks for checkin` out the video !!!
I have the same issue, if I move the "arms" on top myself, the mechanism works, but they don't seem to move on their own, they stop after one swing when I move them. If I pull on the string with the weight it doesn't do anything either :(

I found that if you use split shot weights for fishing you can get it almost right on !!!!!

+war dog modeling Thanx Anthony,, 3 are from a theater auction in N.Y. City 2 are re-pops and the rest are from e-bay ,, I also have 93 6x8 theater movie cards from the 30`s and up to the mid 40`s all horror related
+Mike Flynn hey mike. that's cool. the ones from the theatre were probably made up by the company that was rereleasing the movie at the time and are more valuable than a later ebay type repop. a good friend of mine has an unbelievable collection but he started collecting movie posters 40 years ago when you could still buy reasonable. I don't know If you know what realart was but it was a company that did the 1st rerelease of all the classic universal monsters back in the 50s. he has the posters for a lot of them like dracula etc. he fit them for a few hundred tops in the 80s. now those 2nd release realart posters do 5 to 10k and up! crazy. thanks for sharing. If you ever build a Foliot escapement one, with Roman numerals, hour and minute hand and wall hung and can run for at least 12 hours I'd love to buy one from you - say $500 tops?!
