I have a 2000 Magna tangerine orange custom seat and custom pipes people think it's a Harley but always tell them "No it's not a Harley I wanted something that will last forever with low maintenance... It's a Honda" they giggle with a nod of approval ❤
99 v45, previous owner gutted the baffles and jetted the carbs. With stock tooth count It bottomed the speedometer with a couple grand to go. It was a good stretch of TX road. Got low and had to find out.
It will most definitely do 130. Although it starts to run out of steam much above that. I have a 96deluxe model. I also have an 08’ Raider and that will hit 130+ with ease and I still had throttle left, I just ran out of highway…….in mexico of course.
Notice how he has to undertake people coz they wont move back into the middle lane after overtaking. What if someone is coming at 200mph? Middle lane is usually 80-95mph. 4:09 it looks like 4 lanes all doing the same speed.🙃
Sweet, found this video in 2022. Back in late 80's I purchased a V65, 1100cc giving 116 horse power.... I was more concerned with the tires that came stock on the bike when traveling over 100 miles an hour. Which was cruising speed for that bike, all day... I ran METZELER M888 Marathon Ultra Tires... they fit the stock rims rated to over 150 mph and heavy loads, 550lbs front and 900+lbs rear. Felt saver on high speed tires, plus there were truly round and balanced... and expensive.
I played it in frame by frame, and it looked more like 127, 128 maybe. Doesn't matter, it's perfectly fine to roundup that close, speedo error can go either direction :) either way 130 isn't fast, it's opening the door to fast, but, the thrill isn't always the speed, is how it gets there that's the most fun, and this bike seems to do it effortlessly. It's a cool vid, altho I don't like 100+mph videos just for "look what I can do" flex, when it's a bike I enjoy or are interested in, my selfishness kicks in and I start smiling :)
About to own one, a 94' Yellow , absolutely looking forward to it...but 130 is what my last bike, an R6 did in the blink of an eye...I'm hoping the comfort makes up for the difference in "get fast", and I kind of love how it just goes, sounds, all that good stuff :D reading comments like "I blow away sports bikes"...well let's be real a a sec, you might pull on them in 2-3rd if they're stock, with inexperienced riders, but facts are facts, and even my 600cc R6 left just about every bike(that wasn't a crotch rocket) I ever lined up to with lengths between us when it comes to 0-130. My R6 was difficult, bitchy, and far too aggressive to enjoy the ride unless you're racing, so I'm hoping that + comfort will fill the gap in performance I might not even miss oO I have to admit, the mid range on these is pretty fkn brutal :D
I agree with some earlier comments. My 1997 vf750c Magna will do 125 with no mods. As I have Said before," get a bug screen or Small windshield and you will Enjoy the bike a lot more".
I was given a 2000 magna 750 last year that needs carb work done, the guy didnt know what the bike was, he called it a shadow. As soon as I saw the engine I was like "ooooooh I know what that is!". Cant wait to get it going and ride it
ruclips.net/video/SE0efZmHHrU/видео.html This is an 03 Magna I chopped out and chromed $18,000 in Chrome she performs quite nicely 130 miles an hour is easy for this bike I have ate so many other Choppers and Harleys it's not even funny
ruclips.net/video/SE0efZmHHrU/видео.html $14,000 in Chrome and $2,000 for the fork kit wow and she still rides like a crotch rocket that looks as beautiful as a chopper
I chromed everything the wheels the hubs the fork boots the neck pieces ahead of the gas tank that used to be plastic I had somebody forged them in metal and then Chrome them like I said $14,000 in Chrome this bike is absolutely beautiful and I get many compliments
Dude, your speedo is way off calibration! At 100mph+, you'd be passing cars alot faster than you were.. Hell I think the minivan with its brake lights on almost gave you a run for your money.. 😁 😂 😂 😂
And having owned a V45 Magna before, I can promise you, it isn't capable of 130 mph (stock) and at higher speeds (80+) your running the risk of developing "death wobble" in the front end, which will have you eating pavement in no time. I speak from a 90 mph crash experience that I was lucky to have lived through.. Shit, my V65 Magna (1100cc) is barely capable of hitting 130mph!
I have a 96 Magna, love it, but my speedo isn't accurate. I was on the interstate doing what I thought was 85, and other people were passing me. I downloaded a speedometer app for my phone, I need to get out and compare them.
Unless the speedo is broken or off. From the looks of the video you never broke over 90mph. Not saying the bike wont do faster or anything. But it obviously wasnt in this video.
Nope. I had a 98 magna. When I bought it, it came with a wind screen, saddlebags, a passenger seat... I took it all off. Without a windscreen of any type, the wind really starts to knock you around when you get to around 80mph.
I've had a 94 and now have an 83 v45 no doubt they will do 130 at all but judging by the traffic you wasnt going that fast I do believe your speedo is off a bit
I had a 1995, yellow. It was great but not so much on a long ride. I did a Saddle Sore 1,000 mile in one day. It just lacked the comfort I would like for so many miles. I even had a Corbin seat which was waaayyy better than the stock seat! Yea, it would do 80 down the interstate all day with no problems. Then one day some 18 yearr old pulled out in front of me and that Magna just could not stop that fast!
I would need a shot of adrenalin to drive a bike at this speed, the fastest I would go is maybe 100...but even that,I d need a big lawyer to dismiss the ticket and the big fine...get the lawyer 1st,make proper burial arrangements, finalize your will, say your goodbyes, and then race.
My daily bike is a 1996 Honda magna vf750c. I've had it to 137 and had room left. You can rev these bikes out to over 11k rpms. But I never saw a 130 in this video. I've wiped the floor with all sorts of Harleys. The bike is ridiculously fast for what it is because of the gearing. But I never saw 130 in this video
That is too fast for public roads, with people on them! too much debris and too much chance of of someone changing lanes or you screwing up ! Take to the track or something, I like my insurance low and my fellow drivers safe from crazy people. Magnas are fun and fast though, but you need to control yourself or find someplace that there is no other people. like the salt flats or an abandoned airport / hwy.
Dudes I had 82 750 V45 Magna that the speedo buried at 85. My friend had a newer 700 and he was going 145 by his speedo and I blew by him. No vibration at all. This was an awesome bike. Believe what you want. I know.
I have an 84 Honda magna 700 an it'll easily hit 130 that's about how fast he'd be passing cars assuming they're going the speed limit of 75 to about 85
Can you suggest what mods are needed to keep that model running well? I just bought the exact same one. I am replacing the fuel filter, of course, and I am doing an oil mod, replacing the lines to increase oil pressure to the cams. Do you think an air filter mod is a good idea?
I was surprised how fast the cars were going haha! At 130 you weren't "blowing by" them so people must drive pretty fast where you live! Just bought a 94 MAGNA only 15000KM on it stoked to get out riding it soon! Beauty bikes!!!
Meine schafft 214 Km/h. Ich darf meine kleine auch ausfahren :) . Sorry man
Awesome
Just got mine back from 100 % rebuild. Will run 150
optimistic speedo I guess

My two favourite Honda magna VF750c and the Yamaha FZX750 Fazer.
Well I thought it looked like 125mph but so what ?, it’s still good for my favourite unfaired Honda 750 cruiser

Hermano, le quitaste los asilenciadores?o por q no se escucha el ruido de la clásica Honda magna
cops said I was doing 150 mph when I crashed mine, but my "96" was rejetted, recammed different sprockets n exhaust
I agree with some earlier comments. My 1997 vf750c Magna will do 125 with no mods. As I have Said before," get a bug screen or Small windshield and you will Enjoy the bike a lot more".
A 700 cc too
I'm looking at buying a 95 magna 750 and yes it'll be my first bike

That’s why I don’t sell my Magna!!!
perfect comment :D
Fastest I have gone so far is 105, had a feeling to slow down passed two state troopers a minute later
I have a 96 Magna, love it, but my speedo isn't accurate. I was on the interstate doing what I thought was 85, and other people were passing me. I downloaded a speedometer app for my phone, I need to get out and compare them.
Nice bike man I had a 97 750 magna but sold it biggest mistake i ever did I live in tenn and tried finding the owner to buy it back but no luck so far
Anyone interested in a pristine 82v45
You know what's crazy? At 130 he's not going THAT much faster than traffic. Maybe 40 mph faster IMO.
I have the first gen 1982 Honda Magna vf750, it goes over 85 MPH, sadly that is where my speedometer stops.
Unless the speedo is broken or off. From the looks of the video you never broke over 90mph. Not saying the bike wont do faster or anything. But it obviously wasnt in this video.

What year is the bike
too much traffic to be going that fast
your crazy man LOL
1987 700 115mph. figure it will go 120-125 if i get some empty road to hold it. once i hit 7000rpm it's like a different bike.
My daily bike is a 1996 Honda magna vf750c. I've had it to 137 and had room left. You can rev these bikes out to over 11k rpms. But I never saw a 130 in this video. Around 2 minute mark

wide angle lens effect
I think he meant 130kms! There's no way that bike is doing 130mph!
what year magna?
I had my Magna speedo pegged once, running beside a TR8.
