I hope you all are doing well! I showed this to my family on Christmas since I couldn’t convince the husband to have Christmas at Disney. Fingers crossed for next year. What is Gaston‘s henchman LeFou doing here

It goes without saying that Lefou is one of the most underrated villain sidekicks in the history of animated Disney movies. However, While I do like the idea of Lefou having his own story this isn't really what I nor anyone else had in mind.

As a little attraction for families to have fun with, this is fine, but let's face it, in context with the animated film, this doesn't work. It's basically trying to make the live-action remake canon to the animated film, you know, the one where he joins the angry mob and is even beaten up by the servants along with the others citizens. And honestly, there was such an easy way to make this work. Have it so Lefou is the one telling the story. It'll trick you into thinking Mrs. Potts is telling it, but then right at the end, change it to his voice then cut to him reading all of this off of a script he wrote then zoom out to show the rest of the main cast glaring at him. At least then, you can easily pass this off as something he fabricated for his own benefit instead of trying to pass it off as 100% canon.

So we're just making stuff up as we go huh
