DIY Mask with Ties, Nosewire, & Filter Pocket!
I have tried many different sizes and techniques for making masks and thought I would share what I came up with! The mask in the video is nowhere near perfect, but I figured at least a quick visual would be better than nothing. Thanks for watching!

Bob 2016 Revolution FLEX Duallie Stroller Review
Hi thanks for the video. Wondering do you just leave the old elastic in there?
WONDERFUL VIDEO! Very detailed, informative, & so helpful! Thank you!!!!!!
None of the people here in Syracuse New York, where I live. Would even attempt this on my navy jacket um. I had a jacket made from Stuart and Strauss. And it has a zippable lining that comes out for the whole part of the jacket, but they all told me that the sleeves and putting patches on there would be virtually impossible if I showed you pictures of my jacket. Would you be able to do them I? Would have to. Mail the jacket to you and have you put the patches on. If you were willing to do that I don't know so I figured like I could ask. What's the worst you're gonna say no.
@@richardgarofalo9682 yeah I actually had another person that saw my video mail me theirs too and I put the patches on and mailed it back 😊I think he was from Tennessee or something haha
You literally just saved my buttttt lol
I just used this method for two of my MANY cloth diapers that need new elastics and it is wonderful! Thank you for making an intimidating task MUCH easier!
She should clean her own room you are spoiling her and she will not learn anything
She did, she’s the one that made the video too she just named it accordingly since this is my channel lol ❤️
My mom was fighting with getting a patch higher up on the sleeve of this varsity jacket she’s working on. We found your video and she said please let her know she is a life saver!!!!!!
I’m glad it helped!! 🥰🥰
Hey Audrey!😂 we all love prezal!
😂
Do you have a special needle for leather or do you just use the heavy duty ones?
Just heavy duty 😊
Thank you! Trying to save money and this is a great help!
You are so welcome!
What about gluing patches on faux leather sleeves..?
I’m not sure! Haven’t tried that before
Do you have old lettermen’s jacket and how do you do that ?
Super ...
I thought I'd need an industrial machine for doing this & went searching for a local shop to sew on all the patches to both leather sleeves and the fabric main body ... but I see that you've managed using your Viking machine & regular needles and thread ... so what the local shops are too afraid to tackle, I guess I will try myself thanks to your video. Here I go ...
I am replicating my son's jacket from '85 ... using some original and some new patches. I am also using a Viking Designer machine ... please tell me what size and brand needle and thread works best for you on both leather and fabric!!
I just used a regular standard needle 😊Inspira brand that the Viking stores sell.
What sewing matching is that?
Husqvarna Viking Epic
What needle do you use? I keep getting skipped stitches over the seam in the sleeve that runs behind.
I use a universal, or a leather needle sometimes! I have a Husqvarna Viking Epic which is a pretty heavy duty machine also. (I had a Ruby when I filmed this video)
This was so helpful. Thank you for sharing.
I cut one end of the old elastics and used a safety pin to pull it through but i got so fed up 4 nappies in i have 22 more to repair im going to try using my machine to stitch to try and cut down on the ammount of time its going to take
Ong wow!!! I’m going to try this now. Such an awesome video. I have 19 nappies I need to do it on and this video gives me confidence that I can do it and don’t have to get rid of them. Looks so easy. Thank you!!
When i opened up a cloth diaper to see how to 'replace' the elastic, i already thought, ew so much work :-/ Your way is awesome and absolutely easy, thanks for the video! ❤
So glad it helped! Thanks for watching!
Thank you! This is really helpful.
Thank you so much, is there a certain needle or thread being it is leather?
Excellent method. Well done xx
Thanks!
How far apart are the slits to put the elastic thru
Can you tell me what those patches are called and where can I get them?
Most of my customers buy theirs from here: www.neffco.com
Thank you again....I get 1 or 2.letter jackets a year in my alteration shop, and always watch your video before tackling the sleeves...you give a great sense of confidence as you work.....thank you!!
Nice may I ask what machine do you have what model?
Sure, it’s a Husqvarna Viking Epic. In a lot of Joann stores they have a Viking Sewing Center that sells them. I’ve had a Viking machine for about 10 years now and always loved them.
Thank you so much! I didn't know about the liner! You're a lifesaver!
I’m so glad this helped! 😊
Thank you for sharing! I wasn't sure how to sew them on with a machine, but I think I'll give it a go.
Looks good leather is hard to really take care of but I see you show sponsorship
Did you use transparent thread?
No, I just match whatever color the edges of the patches are :)
Hello, do you still add patches to jackets? I am looking for someone to add my patches to my jacket and I came upon your video and I feel like I can trust you to add them.
Yeah, I do 😊 Here’s the link to my Facebook page and you can message me there. Thanks! www.Facebook.com/littledreams2012
@@audfam2011 hi, the link is not working, maybe something went wrong with the link do you think you can try sending it again :)
@@evelynvasquez6858 facebook.com/littledreams2012
Ok I tried again. If that doesn’t work try just searching for little dreams 2012 on Facebook. My profile pic is white with my business name on it :)
@@audfam2011 where are you located? Maybe I can try and put in the information because nothing is coming up 😅😭
Great video. Thank you. Didn’t intend to do this to but keep getting jackets to do.
One tip I remembered from my moms sewing days. A piece of wax paper under the sleeve helps leather glide on the machine bed
Ooooo great tip! Thank you! Always learning 🥰
Wax or parchment?
Wax paper
Can I ask what you charge for this size patches Great tips. I dread the sleeve ones.
Sleep patches I charge $10 since I have I take the sleeve apart and then put it back together. You know how that goes haha. Sometimes if they have a lot to put on I’ll do $10 for the first sleeve patch and then $5 for each additional. Just since I already have the sleep open for one anyway lol. Regular patches on the back I charge $5
I was wondering the same thing. I don’t mind the other ones but the sleeve is so much work
This was the best and easiest video to follow on this. Thank you so much 😭 saved me hundreds about to replace all my diapers because all the videos I’ve seen before were too difficult I didn’t think I could do it
Aww I’m so glad this helped you!! Saving money is the best!
I am curious how long did you use this stroller for your little ones? How long was your 4 year old comfortable and able to ride in it?
Hmmm I can’t say 100% for sure since it’s been so long lol but I think she rode in it for about a year and a half after this video. So she was 5 and a half by that point. She never stopped riding in it due to being uncomfortable, she just got to the age where she wanted to ride her bike 😊
This relieved a lot of my anxiety about getting it right. Thanks so much for posting this video.
Aww good! So glad I could help! :)
This is awesome! Thank you. I officially have the confidence to do the repair on some diapers I’m picking up ☺️
I'm from Oklahoma
Thank you for this video!!!!!!! 🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻
You are an absolute lifesaver! I had not noticed the zipper before, so I was contemplating how to stitch between the layers without catching the lining, or how to seam rip the entire jacket just to sew on a few patches. Thank you so very much!!
So glad I could help!! I remember going through the same thing wondering how to keep from catching the lining too! 😊
Hello, thank you for this very helpful video. I have two questions: is there any reason you couldn't sew one end of the elastic before you pull the other end through? This would prevent it from pulling all the way through as you said happens if you accidentally let go. Also, your straight stitch goes through both layers of fabric, fleece and pul - does this affect the waterproofing at all? Thank you
Do you know the manufacturer of the jacket?
I don’t, I’m so sorry
Holloway is one around here in okla
Thanks for posting this!! Super helpful! I have 2 in cloth so I have a lot of elastics to replace, I love your method the best ☺️🌿
So glad I could help! ❤️
THE BEST VIDEO EVER!! THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR YOUR HELP!
Just use a small safety pin to hold the elastic ends so they don’t pull through before stitching.
Can you hand sew this on?
Hmmm I think it would be really difficult, but not impossible.
