Open Dependent vs. Independent Movement with the Forehand
Dependent Movement:
Definition: Dependent movement in tennis involves a more controlled and sequential process where the player gets their hands up, loads the body, holds that load, and then rotates and accelerates to swing. This type of movement is more deliberate, allowing for precision and power in the shot.

    The backswing is nowadays almost straight back but at shoulder height with wrist cocked up and arm pronating right before striking the ball. Reverse C pattern is good for teaching beginners and intermediates. But the game has become so fast adjustments are needed.

    His forehand is his biggest liability. It is better than 99% of players yes but it prevents him from being a consistent grand slam threat due to its lack of consistency in back to back matches. I would love to see him use a simpler technique with a more conservative grip.

    Nadal doesnt use full western djokovics grip is actually closer to full western, the only true western grips right now are nishioka and khachanov
