Just to let you know what I'm working with. 1984 Chevy Class C with a 350, 1 AGM deep cycle house battery and 1 AGM dual purpose starting battery. I just bought 2/100w panels that came with a 20a PWM controller. From my research online, here is my plan. Currently I have 1 starting and 1 house battery. From the solar controller, the wires go to the pos + neg house battery. Then connect a "pos only" jumper wire from house to an isolator. Then another jumper wire from Isolator to pos terminal of the starting battery allowing the solar to charge both batteries. If I am correct so far, this set up will only charge whichever battery is low and not over charge the other. No i've read that I will also need a DC cutoff between the solar and controller, and a fuse link somewhere? any help would be appreciated!

Thank you. I was going to magnetically attach a bunch of solar panels to the top of a shipping container. At this point the solar panels are cheaper than the mounting hardware, hence magnets. Unfortunately as it gets into fall and winter, more and more of the container is in shade, in summer it is in full sun. Though summer is when I use the most energy. This shows that I can just cover all of my area, and when it gets sun it makes power, otherwise it doesn't hurt.

This was very helpful. We're still trying to figure out getting power, and so far 15 or 20 amp is a no go, but 30 amp seems to be possible. We just bought a Honda EU2200i generator with 30 amp capability to have power anywhere we go. If that works, we'll be all set. Being full time in RV things like this are very important.

Is this a need to have if you have the victron shunt?

Did you add any upgraded wiring to the tow vehicle before you connected the DC to DC charger? My 2017 Sierra is currently fused at 30 amps from the factory.

Great video! I have lowered my amp draw. But as soon as the battery is full it kicks off the shire power and begins drawing from batteries again. Do you have a how to video on getting them to assist one another?

I helped my brother-in-law. Install these at his golf cart. They are great. Not the exact same batteries, but they are from the same brand.

Can you please tell me how to connect my converter for shore power in my van. I have an inverter and a converter separate. I have 12v system with passive and negative busbars. Does the converter get connected to the red and black busbars or??? A stupid guy who was helping me move my stern in my van well he took it all apart and then vanished because he probably didn’t really know what he was doing. We are hooked to shore power and our inverters are getting power as noted with 120v on ac input but we are getting no power in the rig. The inverters are not passing the power through even when we switch off inverters. What can we do? Did the invertors go out? We tried turning them on and off but no change.

"Amp hours" doesn't mean anything if we don't know the voltage. "Watt hours" tells the exact battery capacity.

I think their best deal is the 300 amp-hour for $1,100. 600 amp hours for half that.

What kind of inverter do,you use for DC to AC?

This is a Z 3110....Not a Z3100.

I have a 30a motorhome; however, I intend to convert it to 50a later this year. Can the Multi II be used on a 30a RV? Our current inverter is bad and i need to buy a new one. I don't want to buy a 30a inverter knowing I will be converting to 50a.

Thanks, so is it also possible to charge a 824AH lithium battery bank using 2 different 100A chargers? The battery bank can accept 200AMP of charging. I'm wondering about the charging profiles if there might be some confusion.

Have you had any issues with the inverter overheating? The MultiPlus has an heat vent at the top which is blocked with the shown installation.

AC is like drugs, you're gonna get used to it, then when that 2:45 is up, its gonna feel too hot because you became acclimated to it. i use 12v ceiling fan and stay cool enough and never got addicted to AC.
