Hanstholm, Sylt and Weißenhaus - sessions around home on asymmetric Flikka
A couple of side to onshore sessions around home getting ready for the Worldcups. The Flikka asymmetric quad (82 liters) has become one of my favourite boards in these kind of conditions. I love how it sits on top of the water, gets super fast and projects great off any ramps. On the waveriding site that long rail line creates good drive and holds better and more vertical than conventional boards. Off the top the board turns tight and releases easy without losing control or feeling uncomfortable, as I would on a shorter board. Powered by Gun Sails Seal 3.7, 4.2 and 4,7.

This little North Sea storm came as quick as it disappeared again so we had to be fast. filmed by Raphael Schwinger one of the windiest days I have seen in Hanstholm testing a Neilpryde Atlas 3,8 prototype but could have easily been on 3,0. Conditions where quite chaotic. Killer gusts and strong current made it a proper Nordsee foam party

Both the wave riding and jumping actions which were performed were excellent to see and always enjoyed by me although I also wish that it was me performing them as I'm an experienced Windsurfer and ex Windsurfing school owner.

the board certainly likes that rotation and in strong onshore wind its often much easier keep the direction from the bottom turn :)

Nice👍 Which glove do you use for sailing in winter?
Hey Boris, I use open gloves that have a 4 finger and thumb separation. They are warmer solutions but this is the best mix of warmth and handling for me.
@@leonjamaer6981 thanks for the answer. I am always struggling sailing with gloves, and open palms are too cold. Do you cut yourself normal neoprene gloves?
