I found what the problem was. I was using sodium bisulfite instead of sodium bisulfate.
I just tried this but something didn’t work. Something is wrong with the bleach. When I mix the sodium bisulfate solution over the potassium perm it turns instantly transparent.
You might want to recheck yr dilution of part a and B It should be Part A 1 gram of potassium permanganate to 250ml of water Part B 13.5gram of sodium bisulfate to 250 water When ready to use (it does not keep well), mix part B to A .
@ I’m going tomorrow to pool supply store and try another brand of sodium bisulfate. I’ll let you know how it goes. But the first part worked so image turned almost completely “black” after1st developer. Thanks for the quick answer
@@cipriandragoi9166 check the ingredients list of the oh reducer and may sure it only has sodium bisulfate in it. All yr best to yr next attempt.
@@AnaloguePT I mean, right now I'm using Sodium Bisulfite ⊘ Non-GMO Gluten-Free Vegan OU Kosher Certified - 50g/2oz from Modernist Pantry brand. Do you think is good ? this is what is say in the description : Anhydrous sodium bisulfite is an anti-oxidant and widely used food additive to preserve freshness and color in vegetables and juices, particularly green vegetables.

interesting !
Glad you think so!
One of the most interesting videos on youtube, beautiful work. Thanks!
@@FrancescoFucito-r2j thank U for watching!
Can we reuse the bleach mixture in the same session for multiple papers? If yes , for how many approximate until it’s done ? Thank you
@@cipriandragoi9166 depending on how big yr papers are and how much silver need to be bleach off before the bleach got exhausted. Both chemicals are relatively inexpensive so do mix a bigger batch if you need you are going to shoot more in the same seasion
@ I’ll do 5x7
Thank you for the video ! Are the chemicals mixed together dangerous ?
If you use X-Ray or Ortho sheet film, you can handle it under a red safe light and avoid having to work in total darkness. Great video!
thank you for your wonderful work. I´ve tried this proces but in the second development the image that appears is the negative again or a positive very flat or foggy . What could it be the problem? thank you
@@mikelalmazor181 R you using the same developer and bleach as in the video? After the bleaching, do you see like an almost white paper as the image would be bleached away. At this point, re exposed it to light (like to the lights in the bathroom)like for maybe 30 secs and do the second development again.
Can you design your own format design?
Hello there, nice results. Well done. I too have a question about the bleach. Do you mix it yourself with various ingredients or do you buy bleach that is ready to use?
@@alainmijngheer I mixed it myself or if U buy a b&w reversal kit then it will hv the bleach.
Saya mengambil gambar menggunakan film ni, tapi hasilnya kontras terlalu tinggi ..kenapa hal itu berlaku ?
@@mr.mahathir89 probably due to it clear base. U can try to develop using d23 developer
So emulsion side up with a dark background. Like wet plate. Cool.
Yes I would say underexposed by 3 to 4 stops and develops normally. Yes the key is the emulsion should face as it has no reflection
Thx! Good idea.
WONDERFUL,we have to simplify a little the process and find a way to do more formats, also in colours and that last longer without oxydating. Is it possible to do the process with a light of some kind ?And with different format like polaroid 600 film frame and without the peel a part system?
That is beautiful, anyway,I ve never tried and I saw the full tutorial,it s a long process, but I d like to make my own too and a quicker/easier process maybe. Also, keep us updated if you find a wayto do color emulsion too❤
Terrific! - Finally I know why I kept my Polaroid 545. I look forward to trying it. Best wishes from the UK.
Hey this is awesome ! I'm creating something similar (an intervalometer) for my super 8 camera. What parameters did you use to model the female thread where the cable release is screwed in ? Thanks in advance :)
i just did a threaded hole in fusion360. m9x1.25. maynot be an exact fit but works for me.
Just subscribed great channel...a previous comment asked about the process and you mentioned you will have a video....I cant find it do you have a link? Thanks
The full tutorial is here ruclips.net/video/WKwSdiP-dmQ/видео.html
Nice work! I love how film photography always has something new to offer. It’s great to see what others are creating. Keep going!
THANK YOU ! for the vidéo i like ! me i try with a film ilford fp4 and PQ UNIVERSAL !
time to upgrade your video gears by adding a wireless microphone !
Lovely places. Hump ahead !
Thanks for watching!
Thank you for sharing this beautiful journey
Glad U enjoy it!
I am really curious how that pastel works out. 😮
Me too. Probably will try a contact print first
@@AnaloguePT share your results. 🙏🏻
can you use a different lens and reduce an image?
We probably can but I have never try it. What would be the application for it?
Developing photosensitive film to make a resist mask for electroplating. Essentially cost a piece of metal with photosensitive film and expose it to light. Where it’s exposed to light the film hardens. Just want to get some super small details and light projection seems to be the key
could this be used for a film pack camera?
@@Federico84 this is designed to be used with a 545 holder. Theoretically the concept can be adapted for a film pack camera I guess
@@AnaloguePTwhat do you suggest for making a pack film? Also,I m Total newbie and don't have a dark room, how can I work with all of that?I own a polaroid and a Kodak ek Old camera
my father India in Pushkar work box camera, this book Indian Box camera my father name Kishan Chand hemnani
very nice. great work by your father. i reviewed the book here ruclips.net/video/Ldk-kyjNjCg/видео.html
Thanks for sharing the files. I just printed a back for my Chamonix 45F-2. The output was sharp. However I do find the back did not fit snugly to the camera. The was some play vertically. I am not sure whether it is the difference in the camera models. Probably need to modify mine a bit. Once again thanks.
@@mistercheah yeah I designed it based on the dimensions of the spacer that came with the back. It will be a bit narrower. Will update if I were to change the design.
Nice show! Thanks for inviting us.❤
@@8storeytree thanks for coming. Hopefully more events soon
My very first camera was a brand new N6006. Thanks for the trip down memory lane.
My pleasure. Cheers
Very helpful thanks
You're welcome!
Hi, I want to build one on my own and saw your video. the rounds per minute of the machine was doing according to the original machine or just the speed of the 12 V electrical motor?
the rounds per minute is based on the car wiper motor. i just use it directly without any speed control. otherwise you will need to use some speed control circuit or some gear to change the RPM
The dragon playground lighting is excellent...
Yeah on some days it's really good
Cool shots.
Thank U! Glad you enjoyed it
Very good 👍🏼
THank you for sharing, great introduction.
Très bonne idée. Effets spéciaux à l'ancienne.
Can you use gum dichromate to make a paper negative will you try it Thanks
I missed the formula for the chemicals to remove the exposed silver! What was it?
Oh it was in another one of video on Reversal processing for slides but here it is Part A 1 gram of potassium permanganate to 250ml of water Part B 13.5gram of sodium bisulfate to 250 water When ready to use (it does not keep well), mix part B to A .
Shooting at ISO 100 instead of 400, what should I do if I need to expose or not?
If shooting as negative then best to expose at 200
Genius! How did you judge the exposure time? I will try this with some expired paper soon!
By sight, i taped the negative to the paper on one side and lift up the neg to inspect. Different brands of paper may give U different colours. Ilford papers seem to be pinkish while foma tends to be more grayish
@@AnaloguePT Very cool, I would guess that you fix those papers afterwards right? Atherwise they are not stable for long.
@@codysergeant1486 the image will be gone of U fix it. So either scan it or put inside some thick book and it will d Fade off slower
I got my own F2 a couple of months ago. Since it is old I was a bit worried if the DP-1 meter would still work, but it is in excellent condition. This is now my favorite 35mm camera!
you are smart bro
Fascinating! Thank you for sharing your process. Imagine that this was both frustrating and fun at the same time.
Hope U can try it and make it better!
awesome channel
This is not the true kallitype technique, it is the easy version called Van Dyke/brown print.
Wow! Bravo and thank you for your excellent work!
Wow!! Thank you!!!
Did you remove the back of the Kodak camera to get it to project through onto the ground glass?
Yes just removed the ground glass frame. Totally reversible if one day I decided to use back the Kodak camera as it is.
i've been using Shanghai GP3 for awhile now as it's the cheapest available b/w 4x5 film i could find in the Philippines. other cheaper option is X ray film cut into 4x5's but i get varied results from it. however I'm amazed that GP3 can be slide film!
Yes they are cheap though sometimes different batches seems to behave differently. Yeah most b&W film can be reversed processsd processed to become slides
