This is wild. There's a fan-made video edit using clips from this same film (Paris, Texas) to accompany the song 'Myth' by Beach House. I have loved that music video for the past 3 or 4 years, always meaning to watch the actual movie because of how it was summed up and presented in the montage of scenes selected by the fan who put the whole thing together. Then today I see this other fan-made music video for a CAS song and even though whoever made this one chose a handful of the same scenes as we're included in the 'Myth' one, the overall vibes are so completely different. It's as if they were made from two separate films entirely. But...seeing this second video using 'Paris, Texas' clips today? Now I know I REALLY need to watch that movie. I'm even more intrigued now, having seen what feel like two, brilliantly collated & edited highlight reels, that somehow manage to portray both the same film and two totally different films at the same time! I know that probably doesn't make a whole heap of sense, but just know that I really appreciate what you made here, and along with the creator of that video accompanying 'Myth', have spurred me on to go and watch the actual movie. Thank you!
