You need to flush your outboard out with freshwater too! There will be a hose attachment on the motor to rinse the salt water out of the cooling passages inside the engine. Never skip this or salt will form deposits inside the motor and restrict water flow over time, leading to the motor overheating or worse.

when people leave the cover off or do not put the cover on properly, on most bayliners rain and just running will slip threw the engine hatch near the top, i presume that this has happened with this boat.

Funny how often he says ‘it’s a small boat’. Well yes- you aren’t aboard the Queen Mary sir. She was designed to be small for a segment of folks who desire something fun, affordable, manageable and sporty. 👍🏻

I had a 2023 T16 and loved that boat! Unfortunately, it turned out to be too small for us. After a year, I sold it to a friend and ordered a 2025 T21, black and gray w/ 150HP. Well, during the wait to be manufactured I found a discount on a new 2023 210S. So I am now picking up the 210S with a 200HP Mercury. (I would buy the T16 over the T18, they are so similar. But if you have the money, go with the T21.)

Go for the 200s with the 150 merc and a Tempest SS prop. You'll have the size, power, comfort, stability and safety that your family will appreciate for lakes, river or inshore bay cruising and fishing.

I got the 2022 185s with 115hp as my first boat to take out my family and enjoy the lakes. It’s a great starters boat. But now I am debating if I should upgrade.

Just went and looked at the T 18 and the T 16 today and yeah the T 16 looks and feels so much smaller than the T 18 it’s just crazy I’m just trying to figure out which one I want to pull around with a V6 forerunner but awesome little boats really impressed with the quality and the brand new Mercury’s
