Had a similar experience in Michigan about 35 years ago. I was 8 years old or so. Me and my mom were just put randomly checking out small towns. Stopped at a dinner. Seemed odd. Food nothing to talk about. A few months later we tried stopping again because places to eat aren't easy to find in no where backwoods Michigan and it wasn't terrible just not great. The place was there but it looked like it had been abandoned for years.

Loved the story, I think it would make a good opening to a movie.

Mr. Ballen being the best strange, dark and mysterious raconteur by far has ruined other storytellers for me even half way decent ones like this guy.

Third story was really awesome, but my favorite is the second story. I really love those kinds of stories where things just work out in the end for everybody. It kind of reminds me of something that actually happened to me. My father died in 2015, so I went back to New Jersey for his funeral. After the funeral we go to a restaurant, now this is important to the story…. I used to call my dad Fatty Daddy when I was a kid. He was a little overweight all his life, but he was also really strong. So anyways when I get to the restaurant, I’m looking at the burger menu and I see that there’s a burger called the fat daddy burger. So naturally, I ordered the burger. As the waitress is walking to our table with my order in her hand, that song “don’t you forget about me” starts playing . It really hit me hard, but that was definitely my dad saying goodbye to me and that he loves me. Anyways, great video, buddy!

Another great story, my friend, I work at Honda as a mechanic. So I often listen to stories on my headphones as I’m working. I recently found your channel, and I’ve been watching through your videos to be honest I don’t know what I would do in this situation. At this point im pretty certain the story of greg is about a polish dude who's named grzegorz who in translation to american/ English is called Greg . I came to Uk when i was 10 with parents and during that time i learned that majority of Polish workers abroad wether its Uk ,germany or france work for those types of agencies just so they can at first find any work available and once they can save a bit they change the work or if the brand that they work for likes them then they can get a contract to stay with them and quit working for them through agency. Idk if thats true through but its my suspicion 😅. If u ask any Pole who was abroad on how they started their work ,a huge majority will tell u their first jobs were through temp-agencies .

In the late seventies/early eighties there was a local farmer in my neighborhood who was found to be part of an international ring of the worst, most reprehensible ,photography and media there is.theres not much to find out there as they were busted after someone in his organization accidentally took some film to a Fox Foto kiosk for developing,terrible images, horrible. Im guessing a lot got sealed.Arrests from Mississippi to California followed, suicides, prison sentencing it would be an amazingly horrendous story to be told.but not the local dude but some of his associates tried to high pressure me by myself and me and my buddy to go riding with them, two weirdos,beforebthe bust.unlike you we were fat bodies,young rednecks ,so we would curse and throw rocks so they gave up on us ,them two Yankees as we put it back then.thank God me my buddy snd you were protected . thanks, good outcomes, superbly told by you ,
