I thought since we go from right to left, the 3 zeros added on performing a binary shift of 3 places right is not necessary. and that they are just leading zeros?

For 4B(ii), Can I not write a string for the erroneous part? Because the data type needs to also be wrong Also, for 4c I wrote a procedure to calculate the battery time, would that get me the mark? Finally, I want to know for part A do I have to write the algorithms in OCR programming language?
