In case you have ever wondered if anybody has ever photographed the view of Warrior, Mt. Constance and Inner Constance from the ridge at the head of Milk Creek, yes, alot. Of times. The view point is visable at the 15:03 point in this video, right about in the middle of the scene.
Wow!! Amazing hike. Great work on editing and story telling. As a content creator myself I like connecting with other creators. 👍51
@@KhurshidsChannel thanks for watching!
The sparkling of Rachel lake is ... wow. You capture the beauty so well. Thank-you Kara for taking time to share these moments with us :)
@@Anna-uh7qx thank you for the kind words & for watching!
I love the beautiful scenery and the way you film it. Thank you! 💚
@@purrsephone2904 Glad you enjoyed it. Thanks for watching :)
Jaw dropping scenery in them thar hills... and the morning sun rays starting at 9:00 were simply magical. Keep it up, Kara. Good stuff indeed.
@@billmartin3198 Thanks for checking this out!
5:22 stunning shot! I've only been here in the rain so might need to go back and see it properly 😊
@@SavvyExploring I think it’s worth hiking again :)
So many berries, such a treat on a pretty hike. The clouds flowing over the hills was really cool. Glad you were able to safely navigate around the bees. I backpacked out there in November and was surprised that there was already snow at Rachel Lake and beyond. It was chilly at Lila lake so an early morning hike out and probably the most beautiful sunrise I’ve ever seen.
@@scottalpine sounds gorgeous!
Great hike and nice video. One comment, I did this loop a couple decades ago in August. A high elevation cold air mass move over and made an ice axe essential. Did you bring one? I only saw hiking poles which are useless on ice. I’ve lost two friends to summer slips on relatively low angle alpine snow.
@@ericgerber-z8n I used microspikes and poles. Hiked late in the day and the snow was actually pretty slushy for the most part. Of course, weather can change quickly in the mountains. Smart to be prepared. Sorry to hear about your loss.
Awesome adventure!
Another beauty! You sure know how to pick em. Nothing better than backpacking during berry season 🤤
@@mikePNW 💯
This trip has been on my list for two years now! Did you get early access permits?
I was able to find permits a week before on recreation.gov. Worth checking the site , because people do cancel. I also swapped camps from Cataract to Dick Creek camp when I went to pick up my permit at the Ranger station. I hiked the Northern Loop in 2022 and got walk up permits the day of. Still an option to find permits if you don’t win the lotto. Hope you can hike the trail!
That cougar footage was amazing! I've never seen one while hiking
Exactly where I wish I was! 😎
So much wildlife, amazing! Even with the clouds, it looked like a beautiful adventure.
It was definitely an adventure, even with the weather!
desperately wishing i werent disabled because i adore hiking trails, but my joints have just worsened over time and walking too much like that leaves me in so much pain. im 20 years old i shouldnt be struggling so bad 😭 god i love nature. Fuck EDS fr…
Beautiful video. Beautiful park. So great to meet you at mystic lake. Your previous video inspired our trip from Las Vegas. Thank you!
Thanks for watching :) Have any questions about the video? Drop them here, and I'll respond!
Love it! I mostly hike ONP but the one time I did Spray Park I had the same experience. That mountain is right there but I just can't see it because... 😂
Another wonderful video! So beautiful, even without the views. Seemed like a really good and fun trip, besides the tumble 😁. Can't wait to see what's next.
Yeah, not the best weather, but still a nice trip. Thanks for sticking around to watch!
What's on the list for 2025?
I would love to finish the rest of the PCT in WA (Stevens to Canada), but we will see! Might just do Section L. Looking into some backpacking trips Canada and the Sierra too. Any trips planned yet for 2025?
@@karahikes Right on. We didn't get to do Section J last year, so we're aiming for early July (seeing all the below average snow pact). March is snow caving at Artist Point for the Lunar Eclipse. Think we're trying to make the enchantments thru an annual tradition as well. I really wanna do an overnight at sourdough mountain this year, that's the very first video I saw of yours! Got into photography recently, so really wanting to get out with the new camera. Happy Trails, Kara!
Sweet little clip! Why do some hikers refer to the trail simply as "trail" rather than "the trail"? I honestly can't tell you why I even care. It's just something I've always noticed & for some reason just grinds on me a bit. 🤔
Washington is such a beautiful place. Thanks for taking us along :)
It really is! Thanks for watching :)
Beautiful!
Boom, bear! Love seeing them.
Did you make it to Goblin's gate? If not, highly recommend next time you're up the Elwha.
I didn't! I will have to add it to my list.
@@karahikes about a mile in you just take a right and head down instead of going to Micheals cabin. It makes a loop. The trail is getting a tad overgrown now that nobody really goes up there. It's VERY worth it. Have fun. Great videos!
What was your daily/ total mileage for this trip? Beautiful country!
I mapped it out in Alltrails and it came up to 43.2 miles roundtrip. Days 1 and 4 were short - about 5 miles.
Thanks for the video! Exploring this area is on my list for 2025…it was nice to get a see a preview! I’ve mostly day hiked in ONP, looking forward to getting further in this summer!
Glad you enjoyed it. I hope you have a great trip this summer.
Be careful & watch ⌚ out for creeptoids 😊
Beautiful Country 💟😊
It really is!
Last year a friend told me about the Wonderland Trail. We put in for the lottery. Your WT videos were the first ones I watched. I was immediately enamored. We won’t a lottery spot!!! Hiked the WT in August 2024. Now we want to go back and do the Northern Loop and I found YOUR video! So happy. Hope you never stop posting. You inspire me.😊
That’s awesome! Northern Loop is beautiful. Especially Windy Gap. I actually hiked it again last summer and added the mother mountain loop. I have a video on it that will go live in a few weeks if you want to check it out. I didn’t luck out with the weather on the last trip, but maybe I will have to give it another go!
Thanks for watching! Do you have a favorite trail in the Olympics? Share them in the comments.
Nice little taste of summer! All your talk of heat is a good reminder to enjoy our cool winter days.
I know, I miss summer, but not those hot days!
It's nice to go hiking in Olympic National Forest with you again. The scenery was beautiful. Thanks!🌲
Thanks! :)
I really missed your videos also! Loved the butterfly shot! ✌
Thank you for being here and watching!
Always good to see you on the trails! Looked like a wonderful trip in such a beautiful area. You always do an amazing job of showcasing the beauty of Washington!
It was! I appreciate your kind words. Washington is such a beautiful state.
Great to see a new video from you. Didn’t realise how much I am missing wild flowers. I love the ridge walk from Marmot down toward Tubal Cain. Lots of pine trees west of Marmot that always make me chuckle. I want to try the off trail route between Silver Lake and Tubal Cain. Also, try My Townsend on a clear day. Amazing views. Thanks for taking us along.
Glad you enjoyed the video! I met 2 hikers doing the off-trail route between Silver Lake and Tubal Cain. I didn’t even know that was an option. Makes me want to go back plus Townsend on a clear day!
I enjoyed your video. Thank you for sharing. Hope to do wonderland this summer or fall
Glad you enjoyed it! Hope you have a wonderful time on the WT!
Kara do they collect your passport and if so why? How is cell service and net?
I think they did collect passports. Must be a customs thing. Sorry, cannot 100% remember. Don’t count on cell service. If you have a SIM card you could get cell while in South America. WiFi onboard was overall good. I could email (no attachments) and use WhatsApp. I didn’t try streaming anything. Since this was recorded the ship (Roald Amundsen) has starlink now.
What's the custom map you got? Looking to do the North Coast Trail this year.
The maps are “Custom Correct” think REI carries them. You will want to check out South Olympic coast map for this route. They also have another map set for the North. Also, Seattle public library has them if you live in that area.
@@karahikes Thank you! I’ll definitely check them out. I really appreciate your videos, they’re always packed with amazing shots and incredibly informative!
@@nw_trekker Glad to hear you find it helpful. Hope you have a great trip!
I talked to a BLM guy at Marlette in 2019. He told me there are seven black bears on the mountain there. I often see bear and mountain lion tracks on snow valley peak. Mule Deer on top during the summer to get out of the heat. I like your style. you showed off 170 miles of trail when most people record a walking selfie the whole time. I was glad to see that you included sections of trail that many hikers don't. Especially washoe valley.
It's been years since I was there. Brings back so many memories. Thank you so much for posting.
Glad you enjoyed it
The first year I went to flpjack lake, the trailhead parking was where the trail intersection is now.
Wow, what a change!
Stunning!!!
Yes!!!
That is a spectacular area for sure. Not sure I have ever seen water that still. Great reflections!
Hi Kara. We saw you on the wonderland trail in August. That was crazy because your earlier video on the WT inspired me to do the trail. When are you planning to post your most recent WT video?
Hi! I hope your trip went well. It was nice chatting with you and your friends at Mystic Lake. I plan to share my Rainier video sometime next month. I've been procrastinating editing!
The hike is pretty. Lake not so much. But overall quite pretty and peaceful 🎉
Yes. Golden larches are an extra bonus.
no outfit for mans
I Les a group of backpackers into the area many years ago. We hiked from Snoqualmie Pass on the PCT across Kendall Karwalk above Spectale Lake and then dropped down to camp there. We completed our trip at Pete’s Lake. It was a great hike.
Sounds like a great trip!
