@@unlimitedindustries Wow what a great idea...! Polaris seems to have troubles to find good place for snorkels! UTV and ATV. Dont get me wrong, their machines are dialed in suspension/steering/ergonomics and their cars are great. But man, the engineer who did that does not ride in an enclosed cab for sure. So on top of that I'd have to buy dynamat and speedwerx clutch kit. No sure I want to go that route.

Never had the issue but I don’t remember on these, don’t get very many of them. But I think it’s by the battery. It’s honestly easiest on those to take the skid plate off and you can see everything.

No idea honestly, never had one blown before, someone must not be checking oil at all to blow one of them up! Best bet is to find a wrecked one and take that motor but yeah they are pretty scattered around, never see many of them anywhere.

@@unlimitedindustries my point is I don't care how good they run, sound or perform when in 4 to 5 years you can't buy parts to repair them..... 15k out the window in less than 1000 miles,,,,, If I was going to ever spend 15k on a toy I would buy Japanese brand ONLY,.,,,,,, I can buy anything for a Kawasaki teryx that were built in 2008 and my friend has been looking for a used engine for his 2019 Textron stampede for 2 years..... and there are no rebuild parts to even waste the time to pull the engine to see what is all needed when you can't buy any parts!!! So being a tinker guy I told him..... yank the junk engine and cut the frame.... extend it a little and put a nice goldwing engine in,,, which by the way I own a 1988 goldwing with 80k miles on it and can buy every part I need for it still 35 years later!!! the shame is ..... I think the Textron units look great and offered so much.... it is a shame they screwed over all their customers!

I have a sound proofed Defender and custom doors as you probably have seen in my videos but it’s quieter with my non seal custom doors than a sound proofed Expedition, I’d keep your Defender! Honestly is the quietest machine I’ve ever seen. (Reason for my custom doors is my riding style so I don’t rip off the factory 3200 dollar doors on trees..)

@@timdavison2417 I agree with you! I thought it was going to be huge on this one! But there’s really just no way with the amount of space one has to still seal it and get it to fit back together correctly…unfortunately..

Having a rough time with yours? Which cover? Oil filler cartridge cover?

That’d be awesome, I even do both materials that I showed in video right behind the exhaust shield and it’s fine, I sometimes use sound deadening spray but try not to in areas that might flake eventually and look bad!

@@GaryHaverfield It wasnt too hard at all, just removed the bolts that hold the rear seats in, the seatbelts, and popped off the shocks that are on the bottom of the rear seat bases. I had it all out in an hour or two by myself.

Yeah! It’s surprising they let them leave the factory that loud! They knew it was loud when they put that sound matting on the back and sides but still it doesn’t do much!

For sure! I’m a Can Am guy but when I put this kit in for a guy I was pretty impressed how hard the Ranger came out off the hole!

Top speed is kind of the last best thing when doing the tune and clutch kit. It does get up to speed way faster of course and will run about 75 but rpm’s are way up, haven’t tried maxing it out. If looking for speed, you could still do the tune and clutch kit but it’d be best to run like a 30 inch tire because the RPMs come down a little bit on the high side.

For sure, Can-Am Defenders are the easiest to work on for getting into spots that you normally have to get into for say maintenance. Polaris Ranger belt covers are a pain!

I did not have to with my setup sense the chain was just going into it as like a “float” for the broom to float against the ground.

Yup, 14oz for front diff and 58oz for rear diff on HD8 or HD10 both are same!

@@unlimitedindustries Thanks. Is the rear diff considered part of the gearbox? There is not a "separate" gearbox which needs changed as well, correct?

Yeah it happened to be the only video I got quick while we were going around a corner, next time out we’ll get way more and have our videographer taking videos!

Honestly lately with everything going up I’d have to call and see what one is now. Although last time I’ve heard shop rate is at 125 dollars an hour roughly now.
