Great video. This may genuinely be one of the best videos you ever made and personally one of my favorites. I’ve had my share of attempting to finishing challenging games and missions in each game. I commend you for defeating Malenia in Elden Ring. I was actively rooting for you the entire time I was watching your video. I noticed the editing has gotten better over time. In short terms: no In long terms: "woke" ideas aren't inherently bad, just like teaching kids about different cultures. Idk if that comparison makes as much sense as it does to me but oh well. I do agree that kids dont need to know a lot of the bad things the world goes through, but they should know about some things like not being an asshole to someone due to there skintone. Im just tierd of when someone like me tries to say that "hey I really like that we betray autistic humans like humans." I get yelled that Im the problem and that Im pushing my woke agenda. I just want to be seen as a normal human with a different way of thinking, not as someone lest then others

IMO wokeism is just another word for leftism. The ideas of global warming, women’s rights, and economic redistribution, etc have all been called woke. I think the determining factor of if you think woke is bad is if you are a conservative or not

There’s also the weekly botches, horrible commentators (JR excluded), moronic referees, wrestlers who obviously cooperate with each other, no selling, sloppy kicks and punches, kicking out of every finish, letting the wrestlers put themselves in harms way (Edge, Darby, Kingston, both Hardy’s, Danielson, Martins, Moxley, MJF), wrestlers working for other companies, not presenting fan favorites consistently and the Owner/Booker writing himself on tv and looking like a complete weirdo.

You see plenty statements like "this movie is woke" about a movie that simply has a black protagonist, everyone whos educated in covert r@cism can tell what they mean, the movie has black people and they dont like that. It comes from a fear of change, the world and its standards being different, and the hobbies they like changing to adress the shortcomings and blindspots it had. You see this most in gaming spaces, where these anti-woke warriors will spew misogyny, objectify women, spread r@cism, see anything that isnt a shooter or action game as "a womans game". Its a toxic circlejerk, why do they act this way? Because theyre hateful and afraid, they enjoyed this hobby as a safe space for their big0try, and now these new people sre joining it that wont stand for these ideas, and actively challenge them. So the anti woke warrior gamer sees them as an attack on himself, on the safe bubble hes built where he can feel comfortable in his hatred. Addressing these gamer issues requiers self-discovery, admitting you believed things that are hateful and wrong,or that youre not liked by the majority anymore because that majority changed. In my idea what’s considered “woke” really isn’t that bad it heavily involves how someone handles the story. Cause if we think about it a lot of stuff we enjoy in media could be considered woke but we turn a blind eye on that or say it isn’t because of what we like tends to be really good.

Yes because it kills imagination and creativity and it fails at what its trying to do which is to shine light on social injustices and bring representation to marginalized groups. It kills creativity because of the mandates that godfibid some random account would get offended with the idea for a character you have. And it fails at representation cause it doesn't represent anything besides shallow surface level stuff and it fails at shinning light on injustice cause due to it being afraid to actually offend anyone it can't even show real injustice that can happen.

One week xmen 97 is woke because it doesn't fully sexualize rogue despite the original cartoon not even doing that outside of that ONE scene, then the next its forgotten because the show is beloved by all. Its not that 'woke' ideals are bad. The issue is the weaponisation of the language behind this idea of being 'woke'. Our world has always rewarded free thinkers and people going against the grain, this is our true ideal. When someone says they are woke you instantly know what type of person they are get it? Woke is a whole vibe and they are heading for a future where we are all like them and never fight. However, this is the dystopian future...

There is nothing wrong with a piece of media inserting SJW and gender politics shit in it's story but the problem is that nowdays a lot of companies are forcing this stuff in at gun point and are driving their original works away from their original visions. You've probably heard of Sweet Baby Inc. talk about their black mailings. Not only that but when a lot of shows and games all aproach complex political issues in the same way and simplify them for general audiances, it makes midwits online more confident in talking about complex topics they know nothing about.

Hey there, It sounds like you've come across the idea of wokeism in film, which isn't surprising because of the amount of review channels that have 'noticed' it, but wokeism is a value system (or set of beliefs) that are applied in a lot of other places! I highly recommend looking into Mentis Wave's videos if you want some well explained analysis on the ideas that make up wokeism. He provides a really interesting overview, from an economic standpoint. In my opinion it's the most useful way to look at the debate. By looking at the the end result of woke ideals (looking at the implementation of the ideals into society and what these ideals mean), we can cut straight to what wokeness is and what it does. Which then allows us to look at the plus and negatives and objectively compare wokeism against other ideologies : ) Edit: in short, I believe that the best way to look at this issue, is to properly analyse the ideas. A lot of RUclipsrs complain about the result of the ideas, rather than actually looking at what is causing them. Which is why you get film review channels such as Nerdrotic, who complain about wokeism in movies indefinitely, without actually contributing anything to the discussion apart from announcing his displeasure, because he doesn't know much about what on earth is going on behind the scenes. 'woke' is a value system, and by looking at these beliefs, a more nuanced and constructive discussion can actually start to take place, around the ideas themselves 🙂

The term "woke" originally was a way to describe becoming aware of systemic social issues. For example, learning that the war on drugs was used to imprison large amounts of black and latino people who didn't commit violent crimes, rather than only learning the face value message of the movement. However, it's more recently been used to describe media that prioritises diversity, such as focusing on female, people of color, and lgbtq+, and disabled characters, rather than defaulting to only white male characters having the spotlight (which has been around way longer). Looking at this shift in perspective on the surface, it looks great. It's awesome that these groups can have characters who represent them, who are not either jokes, villians, or invisible. But the problem comes when these characters and stories are written by people who only want to use these character's identities as a selling point. We see names like "first female this" "first gay that" in the headlines, but nothing about what makes the character truly interesting. This makes the media these characters are apart of boring and preachy, and leads many to believe the diversity itself is what makes it bad, rather than the diversity being used to sell a product. It really does suck. I wish our stories were given the same amount of care as others in media. But the ones who get it wrong are the one's who hurt these communities the most, to the point where their people being shown in media at all has become a sign that it's going to be bad. While it seems like most of the "anti-woke" crowd would like these better stories as well, I cant pretend that a lot of their sentiments don't come from their own prejudice. Some of these people scream about wokeness at the tiniest things. I mean, Princess Peach being an "insufferable girlboss"? Really? The only thing feminist about her is that she has agency in the story. I hope their backs don't hurt from that reach. Lets be real, some of the anti-woke crowd is entirely bad faith, they simply don't want to see any diversity in their media. They just don't want to say the quiet part out loud. I guess what I'm trying to say is to focus more on the opinions on the people actually represented by the representation, rather than those who aren't. Though be aware these communities aren't monoliths, and they will have differing opinions overall, but even still, their opinions still matter in the conversation.
